Shame it takes 8 years to download. I've been downloading since 2, only on 43%. It's ****ing ridiculous, other people having the same problem, it keeps freezing.

2% and still going strong ;)

It's very good. It's much more realistic, because the ball feels a little more loose, as it should. It could be the fact that it's new but the gameplay feels light years ahead of PES6, which now seems so simple and generic.
Adriano still has Body Balance 97 and Shot Power 99, but his Shot Accuracy has moved from 86 on PES6 to 80 on PES7. So, a bit of respite for the moaners. Fabregas is still underrated.
I haven't managed to pull off a dive. And, some of the music on the game is a bit iffy to say the least. heh

:D - cheers for the kudos man.
I like it... much quicker than pro 6 and the passing is actually fluid once again...
Definatly not the finished product hopefully will be a bit more polished when it drops on the 26th october.

Really? I found the games were much more broken up and more scrappy.

After taking the "longest download" ever title I managed to get my first PES2008 game under my belt and within seconds Saha(me) had chopped down Emre with a great tackle from behind....the referee was not amused and quickly brandished a "rouge" and Louis swiftly dpearted from the new lush green pitch.
The passing and movement seems so much more realistic on first impressions and the shooting seems to be tighter and again feels like you are in some sort of control...........maybe this will all change when we get around to playing xboxlive games?
Pretty impressed with this so far but let's be honest it couldn't have been any worse than PES6, much as I love it I really do hate it :)
Enjoy your demo when it eventually downloads guys.

Kaka is going to be the new Adriano, you can run the field push everybody aside without getting tackled. I liked it alot although its a shame you can't change the camera to broadcasting :(.

Yeah I thought the way you couldn't change the camera angles is annoying, but oh well.

For some reason, the game feels a lot easier to score and play in general...almost "n00bified". I prefer this to the FIFA08 demo but that seemed to offer a challenge. Undecided.

Do you mean you haven't been able to dive at all or just you haven't got a free kick by doing it?

I haven't got a free-kick doing it. I'm glad to say that unless diving becomes a move that you have to master on the competitive scene, I won't be using it at all. And I only use my index finger for the left shoulder buttons and my middle finger for more grip of the controller; so it won't be easy for me to pull it off.

It's rather good like.
The ball doesn't float in the air on long passes anymore, it's alot more realistic. The ball physics are superb.
I was about to go on one mazy run and the friggin ref wiped me out, moron. The AI has bagged a few bookings for diving too.

Played it for a while now.
The ball is faster and more looser, and it'll definitely suit people who like to pass the ball (i.e. me). The in-game start menu doesn't go away from the match screen, even when you go to formation settings - that's a nice touch. I like that they're displaying the in-game strategies in colour now; so it'll be easier to see what you have turned on/off. The quick free-kick is actually useful now: instead of getting every player of the opposing behind the ball before you take the quick free-kick, the game lets you take it quickly.
It's piss easy to score from outside the box, which I don't like. But, I think that this was the same demo playable last month in that German Games Event, and they may have coded the demo to be more "arcade" to dazzle the populace. The keepers are definitely ****, because Casillas with sick statistics on 'Top Player' couldn't hold onto any ball hit at him, and every player's shot seems to be going in that tight space between the goal-post and the keeper's reach. I hope it's the case that they have altered the game for the demo and that the full version will have better keepers and less accuracy with long-range shots.
Oh, and the ball still goes over the by-line without the referee blowing for a corner-kick/goal-kick. I retrieved a ball which was all the over the line.

Just played it - absolutely bloody lovely. Day 1 purchase without a doubt! It's a lot closer to the PES2 and 4 gameplay, with a looser ball and much more accuracy in shots - it actually feels like my shots are going in the direction I'm pressing. The graphics are nice, players look much more realistic than they used to, and the presentation is very nice. Music sucks, but that's PES all over
