COD4 Beta Unlockables

I've been completing all the side missions in between pwning n00bs n was wondering whether the additional locked weapons actually unlock if you complete all 6 levels per weapon (ie number of kills and headshots)?

I only ask as I always use assault rifle (M16) n trying to get 150 headshots with the useless AK is proving rather pointless and frustrating. Will the additional weapon thats greyed out unlock if I reach 150 headshots with an AK or am I wasting my time n should just enjoy the beta whilst it still last?

For the record, the AK47 on COD4 is the most useless crock of **** weapon I have every played with on any game...apart from the needler on Halo! :D

Don't think it'll happen tbh Kon, if the are going to allow people to use the other locked weapons they'll proberly do it on Halo 3's release to try and steal the crowd back (which wont work tbph).

I don't know as i've been doing a similar sort of thing. I was hoping I'd get some sort of reward.

~I don't bother with any of it, just play the game and keep changing my weapon set for the fun of it. Then its a nice little treat when u complete a side mission without even trying for it (Y).

The AK is a good gun, its the only gun with a realistic level of recoil. There are rumours that the other guns will have as much recoil come release date.

Nah they just provide XP boosts, and the crap like the camo skins etc.. I think it says the other weapons get unlocked at higher levels, I believe the G3 for example is unlocked at lvl 25ish... It's possible they'll raise the rank cap again, and that you'll be able to get your mitts on them then, but the challenges are pretty pointless once you've unlocked the scopes..

if they raise the ranks again, will we get the xp points still? if not thats pretty crap IMO

Rumour is that tomorrow will be introduce the capping at level 25. If so, i'm gonna batter it, on my last night of internet-ness. :)

No Quicky, any points you've earned so far won't get added on.. Makes doing all those challenges and not getting the XP a bit crappy no?

Not like it matters, the half decent players will still attain XP like it's going out of fashion!
