...sign.
I Won't be buying because I hate the HALO franchise... can't for the life of me understand the hype. Or why the original two were 'amazing' games... pure Sci-Fi FPS dross to be honest. No depth.

Would you stop with the "go home " crap allready.
Halo rocks mate, but thats just my opinion, and you say its crap, and thats just yours. But thats what this place is for, telling people your views, and then getting crap like "go home" thrown in your face, that and online tournements.

Halo3 is going to the saving grace of the 360. Join the darkside n enjoy what promises to be the best game on a console.

Saving grace ! it was on the "halobox" but not anymore. the 360 is an amazing console without halo, true it will shift some 360's but it has'nt needed it up to now, the first xbox had a halo on launch and was its saving grace.

Uh Mazzy..
Go home.
I don't understand why you wouldn't want to buy the best selling game ever? At least follow the trend, that's what people did with Bioshock, and they knew that was a pile of wank.
It looks like it's going to be an amazing game. Just because you didn't like the first two doesn't mean you won't like this. Get it, even if its just for 4 player co-op campaign. I think you're just worried about getting owned because you didn't play Halo 2 :D
Oh, and Mazzy. Go home.

Halo 3 may very well be the greatest video game ever made, at least up until GTA4 next year which I also suspect will be amazing.
If you dont buy Halo 3, you WILL be missing out on a very good game. I strongly reccomend you reconsider. This game will be worth buying alone just to play through the campaign.

Yer... cos bioshock was ****
Nice to see the kids are still running this forum...
Shame no one has had the heart to tell most of you that you steer 75% of the traffic away from this website.
And no I won't be buying Halo 3... at any point... I'll probably play it....eventually. Much like I played the BETa and no I didn't enjoy that either.
Bioshock on the otherhand is potentially the best scripted game on 360.. I felt its story was far better than that of Gears (which I enjoyed) and it was in my view graphically amazing.
However anyone with a problem with this thread might want to google 'forum'. There will be something about sharing views... blah blah....
It's a shame how I know many a person who has come to this site and avoided the forum because of a few of the childish members.
I can't remember exactly but was it this forum where a load of you immature ones had a picture of a little kid as their avatar then cried about it for whatever reason?
Jesus that's half the reason we don't go to XL (we being my clan//friends) as it might just be too much to stomach a few of these members in person.
-rant over.
I am a bit confused though Heyburt, what is it that you seem so offended by in this post. I just made sure I read through it all again, because I don't want to see anyone put off from posting here. Despite that, I can't really see anything anyone said that was particularly uncalled for. One person loves Bioshock and hates Halo 3, and the other person is the complete reverse, what's wrong with that? I like the fact you have differing views, and fair play to you for admitting you won't be buying it. You surely knew your post would be the catalyst for a major defence of Halo 3, so what's surprising in all this?

Your welcome to your view but you cant tar everyone with the same brush, overall people on the forums tend to get on well. With Halo3 being the biggest release on the 360 so far then I'm pretty sure its safe to say that most people who own a 360 will be getting it.
Im not a massive Halo fan and I didn't enjoy the beta very much as the gameplay is just spray and fragfest like always. However I am getting Halo for the singleplayer primarily and messing around with custom gametypes with my mates and members of my clan. Parties rock!
If you do come to XL you will realise that people are often more rude and have biggers ego's on here due to it being impersonal. You think you can get away with things more.
However with the exception of Jay (he actually will eat your granny) all of the people were more relaxed and lighthearted especially staff at XL. The Halo 2 fanboys and badkids were annoying but there were alot of great other people that I met.
The ironic thing is that your protesting that forums should be open for everyone and then chastising the "few immature members". Unfortunately they have a right to their view too in which case.
P.S. Gaskin is pocket sized so you can put him in things when at XL to get revenge.

Nice one, glad you are enjoying the game soo much, im sure like the Halo franchanse it will still be widely played over the Internet/XBL for years to come... Oh wait i forgot it doesnt have Multi-player does it , well im sure your have fun playing the same levels over and over again playing against the console
However anyone with a problem with this thread might want to google 'forum'. There will be something about sharing views... blah blah....
I did and the only "forums" that had a bad word to say were a few Sony ones, wired?
It's a shame how I know many a person who has come to this site and avoided the forum because of a few of the childish members.
Tell them not to worry as ppl like your self tend not to post that often

Shame we would really love to have come along and share your views in person, but as Tom pointed out already alot of the bad kids we see on the forums tend to shut up once they are face to face with other people so there wouldn't be much point of you coming if it was just to moan.

I agree on Halo 1, I really didn't enjoy it and found it tedious and repetetive. The joy of Halo 2 came from online multiplayer - and whilst the single player remained unplayed until I heard the release date of Halo 3 and thought I had better understand the story, the multiplayer racked up hundreds of hours. It's one of the only games I know of that doesn't lose anything by skipping the single player and only playing the multi-player. I suppose if you look at it as a single-player experience, the whole series is lacking to be honest. The true appeal of Halo 3 is, to many, a bigger and better version of the multiplayer from Halo 2.
I also agree with your comment about Bioshock - I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was, and even felt let-down in the first hour or so. It's got better and better since, and as soon as I am able to get back on a 360 for a prolonged period of time (damn house moving), I'm going to finish it. It's a tremendous game, and very much worth buying IMO. I think many people's reasons for buying Halo 3 are because they feel like they will be missing something by not playing it - the majority of XBL users are going to be buying it, meaning that practically everyone will know someone else that's going to be playing it. A lot of games will suffer a drop in community activity, and it's going to be a case of 'play Halo 3 or play alone', especially for the first few months.
It's definitely a game that can be enjoyed immensley without the single player to go with it - you don't need an in depth knowledge of everything Halo to get one hell of a kick from Halo 3. Of course, if you choose to avoid it, that's entirely your right to do so. I see where you're coming from, but don't overlook the game just because it's called Halo.

Hold on, I'm a kid driving people a way from the forum? When the **** was I singled out to be one of these 'kids' that ruins the forum, I've helped the forum with running online events and generally helped out for 2+ years now. So do not talk down to me.
It was my opinion that Bioshock was bad, I did not say my opinion was correct. But I'm disgusted at your comment, I will remember that in future.

Gaskin, mind me asking why Bioshock was bad? It's not on your game history IIRC and the demo is nothing like it really.

Nah I haven't played it on my tag, my mate had it and I had a bash. I really dislike games like that, and didn't think it was anything special.
But I'm just a kid who ruins these forums, **** what would I know? ;)

I think heyburt was commenting on me saying shut up with the go home crap, which i agree is very childish, and with liam coming in and saying the same thing, just confirms it.
dont you think gaskin?
Gaskin
10-09-2007, 06:44 PM
No Mazzy, I do not believe it is very childish. I just believe you should go home, that is all.
I am in no way associated with Liam and his actions, he is his own person. But the reason he probably said it is because you have a nice little girly hissy fit when it's said, bless you. ;)
Although I have said it occasionally to gain your little stroppy reaction, which I admit is a tad childish, but hey we can all have fun tormenting you once and a while.

Go Home is the new bad kid, don't take it to heart mate, if you cant take it for being just a funny comment then your taking life too seriously.
Think about it.... He saying go home when chances are to read the comment your going to most likely be at home on your PC.....
Dont worry Gaskin, i get it.

Im not exactly taking it serious. you have said it twice if i recall, one in the hornet thread, and here. all i said was, stop with the go home crap. as heyburt said

Now now Mazzy, don't get your hair in a twist. I could start a petition against your grammar and spelling as I consider that more vital on a forum, but I wouldn't do such a thing as I'm not like yourself. ;)
Back to the topic, Halo 3, I believe will be a fantastic game. Regardless of what you think, I will be buying it.
Go home Mazzy.

That's the beauty of it though Mazzy, everyone believes there own opinion is the correct one. You pushing Gaskin saying what he can and can't say is just as bad/childish.
Although i do like how the "Go Home" comment is taking over a thread that was meant to be about how 1 person wont be buying a copy of Halo 3, I'm sure if we stopped with the friendly banter then it would path the way for Tens / hundreds of people to sign to say they wont be buying Halo3 for "x" reason.

Not like myself ? what ? being imature ? no, not you. its not like you go about mis-quoteing someone in your sig, how imature would that be, or even just saying "go home *insert name" because thats not being imature. personaly i dont give a **** if you find my spelling and grammer some way offensive to your self, start a petition, hell just complain and hope they bring in a rule against bad speeling and grammer ;)
