It's an on going debate which is better, PGR seems to follow an arcade style of racing whereas Forza a realistic sim. What do you believe is the better game?

Two Totally different games, but i say PGR, but thats because im a PGR fan, still got my MSR t-shirt from when i bought it for the DC. poke would say forza tho, but it is good, altho a little tedious doing the same thing for ever increasing laps.

I love Forza, but the single player is so damn boring! PGR is more exciting, but has less depth. Forza wins, but only for online.

Wouldn't mind seeing PGR 4 to rate against Forza 2.

The two are far too different to compare, IMO. I love both of them equally :D

Forza 2 is a large, indepth and realistic game; the single player aspect makes it fantastic to tweak attempting to be the best you can. The hardcare driving players will love this due to the depth in the game, casual players will need a good practice to really see its full potential.
As we saw at XL - it wasn't good to pickup and play. This was due to the fact it did require practice and game knowledge. I for one missed two/three corners and left it for the next person to play :p
PGR on the other hand is more a pick up and play game. Realistic it may be not, but it can still be fun with a few lads after a night at the pub. All in all, you choose and car and play...making this an ideal game for casual players who want to turn on the console and drive without flaffing about.

The whole arguement can pretty much be summed up very quickly. Forza sets out to be a simulation racing game, nothing more, nothing less. As a way of tempting the pick up and play gamers it accomodates them by using optional racing aids. PGR however sets out to be a more arcadey racer that players can pick up and play without any effort. It is essentially about personal opinion and personal choice.
My own feelings is that I dont want to race a half hearted arcade racer. I dont enjoy being stuck in with 4 other cars all looking to power through the corner and be able to get away with it. In my experience many PGR races players look to gain more kudos points than they do lap times. Where as forza 2 is all about the competition of setting fast lap times and racing on real world circuits.
For me its forza 2 everyday of the week, I love the competition of it and would ever replace it with an arcadey feel game just because it is easier to pick up and play.

Their different types of games, Forza is a simulator and PGR is more of an arcade racer, both great games but I personally prefer PGR as Forza 2 got boring after about 4 months.
