Defo the maps stated above. No raid on maps that have clear advantages depending on what team you are. MLG restricted the maps Kon to accomodate this you should have a look and adjust as you see fit :)

had a little snoop around and these seem to be the gametypes MLG are running for their Shadowrun tournament, I havent played all of these 4v4 yet so i can't personally vouch for them but they seem decent enough. I would have thought extraction on lobby would have been a good gametype aswell.

Rules and things. As your only havin 4v4 it might be worth checking the MLG settings, but small maps like LOBBY, NERVE CENTER, PINNACLE and POCO are brilliant for 4v4. Attrition is the best game type but you can also play Extraction on these as the size of the maps doesn't increase alot. DON'T for god sake please put MAELSTROM as a map. Its so bad and it has a very big dis-advantage for one team scoring.

As its a straight knockout tourney and not a Winners bracket/Losers Bracket format, the games should be best of 5 from the first round - gametypes being: Att-Ext-Att-Ext-Att, and then the tournament Final being first to 6 or 7....:cool:

The Shadowrun 4v4 Rules (http://www.matchbox360.co.uk/events/rules?event=Shadowrun+4v4+Knockout) are now available in the portal on the frontpage.

Please note: this will be a double elimination knockout and all fixtures will be a best of 5 game series.

Round 1 fixtures will be posted on Friday.

I was just reading the rules. I HOPE EVERY1 KNOWS THAT THE GAMES PICKS THE BEST HOST LIKE HALO 2. So someone may get the host for all 5 of the maps.

Yeah in this situation we mean host = party leader (ie whoever creates the lobby). Obviously theres nothing we can do about host advantage when the game code dictates otherwise.

There's no way to determine the host in the game - basically you will make a room and then you will start the game and then the person who has the most suitable connection will be given host.

There's no way you can force someone to be host.

Yeah I know...thats why I say in this situation "host" in the rules refers to "party leader" (ie the person who creates the lobby). I'll edit the rules later to make it idiot proof. :cool:

I think you have missed the point Chris. The rules state that teams will host X amount of games - 'home team will host games 1 and 2' there's no way this can be enforced as the game automatically will give host to the most suitable player.

Probably better to make the rules read - "The host of the match will be the player that the game chooses to be most suitable. This will ensure that the game is as fair as possible with the player with the best connection hosting the match"

Regardless of how hosting works, if you replace the word "host" with "party leader" then its simply refers to who has control of the lobby. Obviously as host is chosen by the game then I'll remove the host/party leader rule completely as its a non-issue anyway.
