Bit of a scrappy game - the connection was shocking, as LG said 'it does this sometimes, its so bad' and then when I was running through on goal it slowed to a crawl and I couldn't direct a shot, which LG admitted 'that was so cheap, sorry man'. Eventually broke the deadlock with Edu after a laggy rebound came off Schwartzer after a Robert shot, which Edu hammered top corner. Second goal came just before half time, a second rebound after Schwartzer seriously messed up and gifted a finish to Robert. Betis almost scored an own goal, when the ball hit the post and off the keeper, and stopped on the line - a Betis defender got the ball and ran it straight across his own line, all the way across the goal, before putting it out of play (it was a massive scramble, I thought the keeper had the ball and didn't even know my defender had it). The game was sealed in the 83rd, with Robert curling a lovely shot around Schwartzer from outside the area, to make it 3-0.

The final stats showed that LG had 1 shot in the game, and none on target. Real Betis had 17 shots, 11 on target. Kind of tells the story, but admittedly it was extremely hard to finish and to create quality passing moves for both of us, simply due to the connection problems. A great guy to play, he is a good laugh - just needs to invest in Broadband ;)

Was kind of hoping for that myself, I played pretty damn well with that Galatasawho??? squad. The connection was throwing all sorts of funnies at one point but then it settled down. My defence went AWOL in the 80th minute to be precise and then Owen scored......seen it coming about 10 miles off!!! Not happy, then team morale must have been wrecked as the little toerag scored in the 84th. Never a 2-0 game overall.
Only downside was Joda having no mic, that should be a standard rule....no mic no game.

Some connection issues after the first half and had to restart with a 5 minute game. Managed to pull it back from being 1-0 down in the 10th minute. Really good player, shame to see him knocked out first round, would have got far.

in what possible way would me talking be of any help to the game, other than to remind you that it's green condition rather than random as you set it to.

Edit: Oh and i agree with you about it not bein a 2-0 game overall...... Should of been alot more.

Did I touch a nerve or something? :eek: Just think it's nice to have a bit of banter during the games...after all it is supposed to be a bit of fun.
Don't get yourself too heated up about beating me you'll be out in the next round kid, if your were upset with the condition then you should have said so....oh that's right you didn't have a mic.

Sorry for disrupting the original purpose of this thread...some people are never happy even when they win :rolleyes:

Some good and interesting results coming through - random, lesser teams are the best way to go!

Also 100% agree with 'no mic no game'. Should be a rule, it encourages community spirit and can save a lot of the *****ing that goes on - I know for a fact I get a lot more worked up if I lose and can't talk to the other player.

But why??

True i didn't use my mic for this game, it's cos i wanted to concentrate on the game and try and progress through to the next round. But i hope to play nimac more in the future and will use my mic for those games.

Last time i used my mic for a competition was when we played in the world cup, and i had mellon screaming down me ear for 90 minutes because senegal couldn't score!!

I suppose I just see it as courtesy - not to mention that if there are any problems, such as connection problems or settings problems, there is no way for the player to let the host know. This means the player has to then quit out, and no doubt receive abuse from the host and a claim of a 3-0 due to the quit out. Everybody wants to concentrate and get through, but it's just fair and good courtesy to have the mic there in case of problems.

I always apologise if I foul a player or score a fluke goal - it calms down situations where a player comes to the forum fuming because I got a cheap goal or 'hacked him down'. Games are just played in a much better spirit, in my experience.

First half was one sided with me getting numerous chances, but only able to capitalise on a rebound the once. Second half was more even with both players getting numerous half chances, but nothing clear cut. SSLazio07 scoring a rebound midway through the half to set up extra time. Nothing really happened of note in the first half of extra time until right at the end I was reduced to 10 men. 2nd Half went with a couple more half chances each, but no goals, meaning penalties. SSlazio07 saved my first, but missed his 2nd and 4th giving me a 4-2 win in penalties.

So, i made two very fast goals with german player Hinkel :P,
after that he changed his formation and i had some Problems with defending him.

At the beginning of second half he scored the 2:1 but i kept cool and could bring the win over the time :)

A very poor game to be honest...a couple of my goals were lucky but overall I had far more chances. Great player, shame he didn't have a better team to play with cause I agree...they were very slow. But hey, that's the joy of random teams. And I cant believe it...Heskey scored two...:).

What a bloody struggle, Distin and Richards moppin up every attack by steppin in and brushin me off the ball with ease, then vassel and cole level with me defence and that was that, too quick.

I held me own for patches, think i conceded every shot ha ha. Last minute pen which his keeper took (weasel lol), i honestly thought it would go down the middle.

Hey, Leigh, good game mate, enjoyed it, what a goal for ashly young eh? You would of just heard me screamin at me defence for tackilin each other and lettin the ball hit there heels and try and put you through
