I was quite skeptical about it at first and i thought it would be a real dissapointment but it's absolutely hilarious :D
There are some moments which are predicatble but on the whoel it was well worth seeing and I'd recommend it to anyone. (Y)

Maybe SPOILERS:
Simpson Movie.
Now I'm not too sure about this. The 'Spider Pig' scene was ----ing quality and there are some other moments which are quality. I'm a big Simpsons fan, so I loved it, but at some parts it felt like it was a stretched episode and some part were just plain silly.
The main thing I'm a litte annoyed about is that not all of the characters got a scene. You still got Nelson with his Ha-ha and Major Quimby, etc, but people like Apu, Skinner/his mom, Mrs Krabbapel, the pirate, etc were missing or at least not in talking roles.
All in all I'd say it was a 9/10, but mainly for the main funny scenes.
Whoever is going to watch it, watch the credits til the end, the Springfield Anthem is quality!
Well, I love the Simpsons all in all and I'm cutting them slack for some of the newer episodes. What the Simpsons have done justifies them in having less funny episodes as they used to have amazing ones.
There are a couple newer episodes I loved, like the Ricky Gervais episode (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homer_Simpson%2C_This_is_Your_Wife) and the one where Lisa tells the story (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Seemingly_Never-Ending_Story).
The movie I have to admit didn't have too many detailed small moment and it was definitely more geared towards making everyone laugh and more mass audience. Also there weren't as many references to pop culture as I'd have liked. I dunno if you've seen the trailers, but you know there's the bit with Arnold Schwarzenegger as President saying 'I was elected to lead, not to read' and that was one of the funnier moments imo.
On the other hand I had loads of moments which cracked me up, but the atmosphere in the cinema was odd and not many people were laughing and the people I went with weren't into the Simpson much [like maybe only watched 5% of all the eps whereas I've seen pretty mcuh all], so they didn't get any of the 'in jokes', like the Comicbook guy or Barney.
Reading a few reviews about it now [Yes I am that geeky!], I sort of agree with a couple of them:
"[...] praised the film's good nature, stating the the laughs "come in all sizes", although noting that "little has been gained bringing the Simpsons to the screen."
"just barely" capable of sustaining a longer plot that a television episode."
"[...] noted that there are "too few laugh-worthy moments" and that "instead of stretching to new frontiers, the film rests on the familiar."
even though they all sound negative it is still worth it watching it, but you have to be aware it has it's shortcomings and would've probably been better off being a double episode a la 'Who shot Mr Burns?'.

I thought one of te cool little things was ...
(Minor Spoiler)
When Homer and Bart jump over Springfield gorge like in one of the episodes, and you can see the ambulance from that episode still crashed into the tree. :D

I ****ing loved this movie. You have to watch it. i particularly liked the writing on the board at the beginning, made me chuckle. and yes spider pig was awsome. Altho all the jokes were mostly comeing from the unexpected and if you were to watch it a second time, knowing what will happen, maybe be a bit, meh. but 10/10 for me.

It had moments where I wet myself, but overall I was disappointed.
Loved the part where it's hiding bart's penis for ages and then shows it through a hedge. And obviously spider pig was AMAZING.

Gaskin, were your expectations not a little high, i'm in no way thinking it will be in the same league as season 4 to 10, nothing will ever touch those episodes.
So when i see it i'll be charmed, but not amazed by any means
It's like they've just made a really long new episode tbh. It wasn't that good but not that bad either and yes gazza that is one of the funnier parts of the film lmao, i didn't actually believe they'd put the scene in at first lol

Apparently I've heard that in america "that part" is covered by a black censored banner saying "Only shown in Europe"

Just saw it 2day and i must say i was very dissapointed :(
I've never been so dissapointed about a movie ever lol
Spider-Pig was probs the funniest bit i guess but the rest of the film wasnt that great.
It was too-short imo, some of the parts were quite cheesy tbh and plus i've seen many better episodes than the movie on a whole :(
4/10 imo

Went to see it again today with some different friends lol Have to say it's pretty poor the second time because most of the funny bits are completely random and you know whats gonna happen. Still enjoyed it though :P
