My brothers Xbox has also been ring of deathed - but his was caused from a read error which mine wasn't.

anyways he took his back to argos and because he ad NO reciept the obviously would take it back, waht they did offer to do though, was package up his xbox ready for repair, and my brother was to go collect it the next day.

(my brother drives wagons long haul) - he was away at the time and was going to be collecting it the next day, No biggie - but 2 people walked into argos and said "hi im paul innes you have my xbox here" - and walked right out the door with it.

Now the thing is, he didnt register his xbox, so them people could easily register it and get it fixed. anyways hes off down the station tommorow, to see the police and view the CCTV.

How did these ppl know your bro had taken his 360 back at that specific Argos and that it was available for collection?

They could have been staff *had the details passed onto them during the package up for repair thing, and they could have told a mate to go in pretend to be his brother and pick it up*
They could be a shopper who overheard the details being given to the cashier

Sorry to hear the double dose of bad luck, my prescription is a PS3 with new 50" HDTV - I'm sure the NHS will that for you ;)

yeah my bro thought i collected it.


but yeah he's gonna find out tommoorw, who took it. and i reckon something like this could get him a replacement or something.

He said he never told anyone it was at argos (only one argos in the town) - except me, and his G/f.

anyways he's phoning me tomorow and ill update yous

Well - argos gave him a new console, only took about 5 days of police time for them to do it like.

oh and as usual no one seen nothing and the folk aint been caught,,,
