The current waiting time quoted to myself yesterday is approx 20 days. Whilst I was out exchanging it from the shop I originally purchased it from (read: Moose FTW (http://community.matchbox360.co.uk/showthread.php?t=872)) I was shocked to find that UPS had already been round to try n collect whilst I was out.

Well mine has died. It's not the three lights, just constant freezing, on every game. Problem is that I'm on holiday as of tomorrow, so I won't be able to get it sent to UPS until the 16th August :(

You will get the 3 reds at some point, cos thats wot happened to me
Kept constantly freezing but the strange thing was, when it froze i got these coloured squares over my screen and eventually my 360 got the 3 red lights and was unable to run :(
Couldn't be arsed with Microsoft repairing it so i got a shop just up in Glasgow to do it for me, but have now recently been told that Microsoft are refunding the cost of repairs to people  C**ts :p

Yeah they sent me a UPS shipping label, and originally said 'you will be charged for the repair' until I said 'you are fixing three red lights for free, I am not going to pay' to which they replied 'on this occasion sir we can make an exception and do it for free'...
Going to take it to my gf's parents house and get UPS to pick it up from there on Monday. I go away for ten days, so that takes up half the repair time.

That takes the piss what's wrong with you people take it back to the store and have it replaced! I know sometimes you don't want to cause a scene or whatever but **** 4-5 weeks...

I've just got mine back almost exactly 3 weeks after it was collected.

They classify mine as 'overheating' which isn't covered by anything because it's a user-caused problem. Sucks I know, but considering they were trying to make me pay and then I managed to wangle it for free, combined with the fact I'm abroad and they are doing it for free while I'm away, seems to be going fairly well.

Overheating is a user caused problem?
What did you do? Go round forza a bit too fast or something?

i only sent mine away, because argos have some **** ass policy.
From the manager to me & my brother:
"Sorry, we're not willing to take back and replace your xbox 360 because of our policy. We will only replace a console within the first month (28 days) after that, the sequential 5 months we will send it away and fix it, and the 6 months after that we will package it up for your to send it away and get it fixed."

No, but I can't prove to anyone that I didn't use it under a duvet/in an oven, etc etc. The three lights is the problem MS are currently willing to admit to, and not much else apparently. Plus, it still remains that me currently being in Holland and them fixing it for free whilst I'm away is really handy.

Mine took 42 days in total... got a free wireless controller out of it though... and 1 month live card (even though they had it longer than a month). I'm still bloody angry at their support though...

Well I just had an email saying it's been shipped for return - which is 11 days after I sent it to them. That's not bad at all, should be here within a day or two.
*update* It was returned today - 15 days after sending it, which is pretty sweet. Gonna go buy BioShock!

I'm buying one of ebay with the 3 red light problem (being careful to ask then has it been opened and is the seal still intact) then sending it away to get fixed! Can't afford a new one so hoping to get one for about 100 quid!
