ok, i played the demo of ninja gaiden sigma round a mate's yesterday.

his ps3 is plugged into a samsung CRT HDTV.

i don't know if you know about my gaiden fetish, but 11 minutes after loading the demo up, and numerous "HTF did you do THAT!?" exclamations from my pal, we had a nice, big hi-def "MASTER NINJA" on screen.

they've actually made the best game in the known universe better!

the problem is i. actually. really. really. want. a.

Ha ha, oh what did I tell you Webley, the only thing to grace my PS3 for 2 months has been the gaiden demo, only 5 more days then its out, I think this will be the only thing that permits a little bit of gaming every week for me. I just didnt want to put it down after beating the demo a fair few times :)

oh yes. oh yes indeedy. thankfully, i have learnt restraint and patience. plus the fact every other game i've played on teh ps3 is barely average.

lol it is true, but it has served as a blu-ray player quite nicely too, so I still have the purcahse justified, its also the fact I have not been playing games . . .

The main games for the PS3 will not really arrive to this autumn/winter.

So come on, how many Blu-rays have you bought? Are you beating the current attach rate for Blu-ray players? ;)

I think it's fairly safe to say the PS3 has had one of the worst launches in history. Half the announced units shipped - **** all sold, 1 year 4 months late with 2 games.

I'm not detracting from Gaiden at all as I know you have a stiff one for it Webley but it is a pathetic state for a console to be in - getting trippy over an Xbox remake... I was originally thinking of picking one up at xmas 07 I think that will be xmas 08.

I would call you a freak for getting so bent out of shape for what I thought was a pretty sloppy game - but then i'd shell out ?1000 for a PS3 with a new FFVII so it's fair bones.

you're right about the state of games for the ps3 though. mind you, the old 360 isn't shaping up much better now is it?

360 - as an entire concept is a joke to me. It's why I sold it - I was living in fear of Jeremy Beadle popping out and saying "Ahhh you thought it was going to be good didnt you! Nyaaaaah".
