I need a Nemesis. Apply within...

I'm an argumentative fellow. As you may have already spotted. On all forums I've ever been on, I've had someone whom I despise, frequently bicker and argue with, and generally become the 'nemesis' of on the forum. On Matchbox, I don't. Now this might be seen as a good thing, but without someone to vent at, I end up self combusting, arguing with everyone, and eventually get banned. This cannot happen. So I need a nemesis, and this is where you lot step in.

Now, I have a shortlist of possible candidates to become my nemesis. The order is simply coincidental, and doesn't mean priority.

1. kHz Gaskin - although I have no problems with Dan, he often beats me on PES, and refuses to rub it in. He's almost TOO nice about when he wins. The swine. Also, as Forza 2 shows, doesn't know his lefts from rights - unacceptable.

2. kHz IcemanLeigh - uses Brazil in competetive tournaments (XL), yet has the audacity to moan about them anyway. On the plus side, lost to my Wales in the league. Minus points for being Dan's brother. Also, has a habit of appearing after a debate and saying the exact same as I have said, but gets the credit for it :p

3. NeoKubrick - uses complex wordplay as an advantage in debates, and may be winning them - unfortunately I will never know, because I very rarely understand what he is going on about in his replies :p Also, I still have a feeling he hasn't accepted what is now called (in my head) the 'corner flag routine', and secretly resents the fact he's never beaten me.

4. Pirate Balloon - questions my motives with NeoKubrick (I could never fancy an Irish man, I'm too patriotic ;) not to mention the missus would rip my nuts off) yet is infatuated with someone that isn't even here any more - then denies it. May possibly become the 'sympathy nemesis', and someone that I argue with because nobody else will.

5. Azure - gives as good as he gets, but I doubt that even in the face of absolute scientific proof that he will admit he is wrong in a debate. May secretly be a softy, almost like the cute little puppy that tries to growl at you. This disturbs me.

6. FiveOhOne - for making me feel like a moron when joining his room on Halo 3, and not realising that 'Rain501' was in fact, FiveOhOne on Matchbox. With the line 'look at my name, and work it out slowly', he became my target for BRing, ALL NIGHT. However, has a kickass sig with one of them fit band women from that music video. So recovers very well.

7. Menace Red - Knocked me out of the Matchbox Champions League, with an awful penalty decision, and then started spamming me with Xbox Live messages about tournaments. Although he used Greece in the league, so I can't be TOO mad, can I?

8. BlueHoopedMoose - good at what he does career wise, great fun to play Halo 3 with, relatively easy to kill, which is a bonus :p - however, he's a Reading fan.

9. BARR2K - Constantly defends the use of slag teams in PES tournaments, and is an authority on the hideous PES Rankings. But, hates Rob Mclean almost as much as I do, and so is a kindred spirit of mine.

10. KONSPIRACY - Top bloke, but I can't help the feeling that something very sinister and possibly destructive is being hidden beneath the beenie.


As you can see, all have good, all have bad - apologies for anyone I've missed, please use this thread as a job application for the nemesis position.

The whole point of having a nemesis is for the point of having a consistent and stable figure whom I can rely on to fight and debate as much as I will. And therefore the point of this search is to not find someone I can beat, but to find someone I can't. Unless you can quote to me where I have said I wished to beat them, in which case I will ask for this thread to be deleted. Alas, this will never happen. Well then, here I am. Late as usual apparently. Maybe it is because I have too much of a life to traul around forums all day unlike some of us. Then again, maybe it is because I like to play as brazil but still audatiously complain about them (of which I do not remember doing recently). Well you know, maybe one day you will even be within 5 seconds of me on a forza race track and you will be able to shout to me about how I always reitterate what you have said and gain credit for it ;). I say that if you dont say it well enough in the first place, then we are well within our right to come in and make it more clear.

I have too much fun agreeing with you at times, but then picking my time to completely disagree with what you say, and laughing at you for being disappointing in all pes tournaments because you 'choose' to be a lower team than the best :P. I do remember XL, In fact I remember it well. How did it feel to take the morale high ground? Because using Brazil felt pretty good, my Addidas world cup face place, xbox live vision camera, pes 6 limited edition t-shirt, and ?25 all felt pretty good ;) But I suppose that using England was far more rewarding on a personal level right?

I have also never complained about Brazil. I may have, for a while, exclaimed that they are quite obviously the best. If I am completely honest about the situation, I have now come to the conclusion that Brazil vs Brazil games are actually pretty good. No excuses necessary, if you dont win then it was your fault for underperforming in that particular game. That way you get rid of all of the after chat along the lines of 'well if I was Brazil I could have won too' which seems to always appear 1cm ABOVE that line.

I am starting to agree, I just don't like the situation where to have a good game and feel justified, it needs to be Brazil vs Brazil. It's the situation more than anything. Plus, I lost 4-3 to the overall winner of the tourney in extra time, had beaten the guy that finished runner up already - I was VERY unlucky at XL, but never mind, you're blinded by your own Brazil, you big blind brazilian ;)

In answer to a previous question for which i canne be bothered to quote, I moved this thread as per request of several people. Whereas this thread was quite fun to begin with, although me being left out as a nemesis is appalling, the thread slowly degraded into a spam thread and therefore was deemed as such.

Odd's and Sod's was devised as a way to post all irrelevant discussions into one place so they could be talked about without the infuriated mods constantly moving things. Time wasters, was a sub forum of the same forum, and this thread degraded to such a level where it fitted in with the same criteria. We're trying to keep the forums tidy, please respect that the staff here have a better idea of what is appropriate for the site than you do because we have a better understanding of where the site is now and where it is heading. I'm sorry if that's condesending or even if you disagree with the decision.

If you wish to disagree/argue with the decision please feel free to add me on msn and we can discuss it. Other than that, let the fighting continue; only as this is the time wasters forum, this thread would have been closed (and stayed closed) if it had stayed where is was.
