Ive just brought a HD plasma, I have a component video cable for both consoles but only one componet in on the back of the plasma.

Is there any other HD leads out so I dont have to keep changing the leads over everytime I change console?????

Well you could a VGA Cable for your Xbox 360 instead?

Or you could purchase like an AV Control Unit, where you stick all your connections into that and it acts like a switcher to switch between the numerous devices.

It all depends on what you have, there is 3 HD Ports (VGA, Component, HDMI/DVI), although a Wii only can use Component to get 480p and a Xbox 360 can only use VGA or Component to get upto 1080p.

The choice is yours really.

I have 3 HDMI ports, 1 component port and no VGA port

Now there's a pickle for you....

Well currently there is no way I know of, of turning a VGA into HDMI so I would suggest you pick up something like this Joytech Control Centre (http://www.joytech.net/1/products/xbox360/4/106/Control-Center-540C.htm#additionalimages) Thats a bit over the top for what you need but something along those lines I assume would surfice.

Hopefully other members will have more useful setups ideas, but it's normally having a lack of HDMI ports that's the problem rather than having too many :p

You have no VGA port at all?! Jeez.

You need to get a switcher, or if you are considering a surround sound setup you could go for a source switching AMP/AV Receiver and run your cables through that.

lol nice one dudes.

Ive got a surround set up but my amp has'nt got a AMP/AV Receiver.

I could just plug the scart lead in my wii and leave the 360 one in but I brought a 50" TV so the picture is pretty poor on games like the wii sports.

Whens the HDMI cable being released for 360? Obviously that would solve the problem.

Well the HDMI Cable is only compaitable with the Xbox 360 Elite, so it wouldn't suffice with the one he's got. I don't you can turn a analog into a digital one, simply using a cable , I may be mistaken but that's the assumption I was under.

i thought you didnt need a HD for the 360, theres a switch on the end of the lead for normal & HD

yeah but thats not the issue, he has two components for only one port. So he is wondering the other ways he can connect.

Component for the Wii shuldnt make a huge difference over scart, it's 480p instead of 576i so beyond being progressive scan you loose detail in the image.
