So you have to be signed in to Xbox Live or in the Match for it too work?

I'm guessing you have to be in the match, so it's not really a glitch. Just listening to your friends headset..

It's bullshit. I just tried it. Why would you come up with such a random comment?

For one, you cannot sign in to another profile then go into a ranked match. Secondly signing into a profile during the match does not allow you to listen to the other team. What your brother may have experienced was when the Host is muted by a player of the opposite team and there's a rare chance that the host can here them.
