Thats needlessly complicated. All you need to do to create a custom games party is be in ANY other party with at least one other person in it, then just press B and leave the lobby. You should then be in your own custom lobby. EZ.

I can confirm this works.

300% movement speed and 50% gravity leads to some funny situations.

The easiest way to do this is to just join someone who already has the custom menu and leave their party, voila.

Customs rule, and as Renegade said OMFG to the amount of stuff you can change. Absolutely superb. Bungie have realised that customs is where a lot of games get played, and responded beautifully. Spot on, double thumbs up.

Just had some fun kicking Rain's and Cormac's arses in customs, good times. My favourite game was probably with Razgriz and Witness etc. Super fast super jump and weapon start lasers... pure quality.

the customs awersome i had a load of ppl on juggernaught with everyone fast running and the juggernught super hard so the only way to kill it is assaination. the ppl were swarming over the jug like flies to dead things trying to assainate him while hes screaming in fear. its the most fun i had in ages since the days of zombie halo2.

Renegade, no gravity is like space! You jump and you're not coming back down.

I didn't like reduced gravity with the movement speed up. You run over a tiny lip and you're sent launching into the air. Also with movement speed up your momentum makes it difficult to stop, I don't know how the modders did it.

They didn't have reduced gravity, and it's that which makes it difficult to stop. They just had really quick speed and super-bouncing.

I actually quite like the gravity shiznit - sometimes you end up with a bunch of you melee'ing in midair and it's like a scene from The Matrix! :D
