Hackers Unearth H3 Achievements

A few determined hackers have already uncovered a few of Bungie's secrets by delving into the code behind the Halo 3 Beta version, and now the same motley crew of dedicated hobbyists has revealed what they purport to be the Achievements gamers will be able to unlock in the forthcoming Xbox 360 exclusive.

The hacker(s) list came to us in command prompt form, suggesting Achievements will be unlocked for completing nine levels from the singleplayer mode, as well as for completing the third installment on various difficulty levels. Forum chatter also speaks of one line alluding to the skulls founds in Halo 2 for another Achievement or two, and then there's various online milestones. We hear talk of gamerscore rewards available via Live, as well, though of course it has to be noted that none of these apparent targets have been confirmed by Bungie or Microsoft.

Jungle, Base, Outskirts, Voi, FloodVoi, Wasteland, Citadel, High Charity and Halo are mooted as single player level names, though how indicative or indeed final these labels are is anyone's guess. More Halo 3 Beta gossip as we get it, here's the final list:

Nice to see the list rather than just hear rumours about it. Reading down the list its all what u would expect to see as achievements for Halo 3, and no surprise the last level is called "Halo" .. Well it had to be really lol.

None of the multiplayer ones look long term, I was thinking that a 10,000 kills achievement would be perfect for Halo multiplayer.

Shouldn't "Overkill" be in that list. How comes it's triple kill, then killtacular when killtacular was changed to 5 kills in 4 seconds and overkill was changed to 4 kills in 4 seconds. :confused:

I do think that that's a very early version, but I'm happy to be convinced otherwise when the final achievements are released.

Just how many times are features, etc promised just to find they've been removed.

In addition, I don't give a **** about any news story that doesn't have a source, for all I know [no offence, Innes], you could've written them themselves or the people from wherever you got them from.

After what we have seen about the beta code already Cat, it's likely that this stuff will be included. After all, searching the beta code revealed the extra vehicles, one of which (the Brute Chopper) has been confirmed by Bungie now and pictures released. The beta gave it away first.

I don't give a flying monkeys about gamerscore and achievements so i don't really care about them being released - whether their fake or not.
