Thomas 7 - Due to the fact he did not realise he had been put into a group after he was firstly given a bye, Thomas 7 is moved into Group I and will progress with BlueHoopedMoose.

Was two good rounds, think we got the lucky group as we actually got to play :D

feralninja quit after the first round. And we only played 2 rounds, as the pro setting takes it as best out of 3 (i talked to gaskin bout it)

Was a misunderstanding about the rules, you're meant to edit the pro settings, correct Andi? This'll be made more clear in the rules page asap. But the rules state that it is every players responsibility to check settings are okay so the game still stands.

K Gaskin, nice one :D You should let every one know that you cant actually edit the Pro settings, so every host will have to make their own rules set, based on the ones you guys provide! :)

No - it was Pro settings standard. Best of three (first to two) was always the plan.

Although I lost, if you need someone to make up the numbers in the next round, I am happy to still play (I'm not as bad as I was last night really!!!). No worries if not. Good game had by all - every match was pretty close.

No one in my group even tryed adding me and when i tryed adding them freinds lists were full.

HazyLemming and ProperBori5Jake will progress from group J as they were both online trying to play their games.

Om3ga ftw and ob1thegeordie will progress from group C for trying to play their games.

As it stands we currently have 14 players who have progressed. I know Cormac's group is still to play and he was determined to get it played and his and everyone else's group has until sunday to do their games. If games are not played and nobody has tried to get in contact or arrange their game, none will progress and reserves will be used.

I sent FR to both Chubbsizzle and Jedi Minds UK today. Jedi Minds UK has a full friends list so I can't get to him. Chuibbsizzle told me he is an American so he isn't allowed to play in the competitions. Which only leaves myself and Jedi Minds but as I say he is proving difficult to locate. Looks like I will get a bye (only to lose in the second round anyway)!

Jedi Minds was online at the right time so you're right that just leaves you two. I'll inform him of this and tell him to get some room on his damn friends list! Cormac and Jedi Minds Uk progress from group F.

No offence but i dont really understand how this works.

Burning Toast has already lost to me and NJAP1978. Does this mean that if i lose in the next round of the tournament i will just get another go?

Just seems a little unfair. I will expect to have to lose twice to be disqualified from now on.

No but due to lack of turnouts in round 1 and Burning toast being enthusiastic about the competition he replaced one of those who didn't turn up. There's no need to get all het up about it, come on just think about what you're complaining over.

Nicely handled Ghaskin. It doesnt matter what its about does it. I bet this wouldnt happen at XL. The game shouldnt matter. Its just a bit silly. Halo2 all rules apply, Worms meh only the rules ghaskin want apply?

No, it's not like that at all. People didn't turn up for this tournament, Toast was keen to play - it's a fun tournament with nothing at stake. He is quite literally making up the numbers :)

And it wouldn't happen with Halo 2 as that is lot more serious, often there being prizes for the winners.

Finally no, it won't happen at XL :)

Thats a bit harsh Swift tbh...this Worms is simply a community event just for fun. If it means a player gets a lucky break for the benefit of 3 others then so be it. I can assure you that it wouldnt happen in any of our competitive tournaments...especially XL! :D

How about you have some slight appreciation that I decided to run this event my friend. I could have told B.toast to simply piss off but he was quite simply making up the numbers and it's not the most serious competition in the world is it.

Tbh Gaskin i was just a little sore after reading ur post. Felt the last part saying "think about what ur complaining over" was a little rude.

I obviously understand now that its just for fun and if some rules have to be sacrificed in the name of the greater good then fine and all that jazz and believe me i do appreciate you running it seeing as tournaments for Worms are hard to come by.

I guess thats kinda like a very manly sorry right sorry were i in no way admit i overreacted a little... maybe just a little
