Worms Championship Round 1

Get those Bazookas ready, the worms championship is here!

The tournament will follow a single knockout format, each game will involve four players (until latter stages). The top two will progress in to the next round.

Round 1 will be played on Thursday the 14th of June at 8PM.

There are some spelling mistake on some of the tags here.

I Samwise X should be I Samwize X

guessing there are a few more in there, tried adding some and they didnt exist. Also my tag is Thomas 7 not Thomas7.

Thanks for the heads up though, I'm just prone to correcting weird names, eg the z to an s. And also some people obviously won't have used their correct gamertags for their forum identity. This is why it's easier if you add your group leader, but like I said you shouldn't be worrying about it yet.

Sorry the dates are set to Thursday's, however if you can convince Group E (your group) to play your match a day early then that's fine by me.

Well, I'm at work then so it won't be! Seems a bit strange to say that it will be played then as opposed to giving us a window of opportunity to play it in (for example a few days).

If there is no give then you may aswell remove me too since I won't be able to play then.

There's no window as the majority of people let us down when it comes down to a window and keep putting off the date. But like I said if you can persuade your group to have your game a day before or after, or even two days as long as it's played by sunday night then that's fine by me.

Remaining groups who have not played their games have until Sunday 17th June midnight to play their games or no player will progress from that group. Please use this thread or create your own to arrange times for your matches. If it is obvious that certain players have made efforts whereas their oppositions have not then they will proceed through to the next round.

You're supposed to report that in the results thread. If nobody turned up when you tried to contact them then you still progress. And this happens with many comps in round 1, it'll get better in the next rounds as the willing people will be playing.

When the groups are sorted for next week with players who actually want to take part then we'll have a good tournament on our hands.

yeah, it aint nout to do with the game and the organisation. The simple fact is, there are inactive people registered on this site, who register to tourneys, and dont commit to it. Happened with the PES world cup :(
