Yeah it's a bit bollocksed.. We've just finished a game though, if you get the 'Game Over' message restart.. worked for me + gaskin...
Edit: Ok, so when gaskin was playing with us, it wouldn't load if he was in the room. Then we had a game of slayer, now with Cat, Sub & myself it won't load. Sub leaves, me + cat are playing TT :/

Not 100% certain that one - I sat there for AGES last night waiting for it to load. It even wouldn't load when I went in a lobby on my own so I ended up signing out, restarting the demo and all was good!
Mind you, another day of nasty problems like that must be good for publicity eh?;)

Well, it is a beta, not a demo.

It might be linked to the major banning of people from xbox live for using firmware last night

seems to be working fine today, loads very fast, however, there is only 1000 people on

Yeah it cleared itself up around 11ish last night, played through till about 1.45 with problems at al, although we were in a party of 8..

It was "stuck" on one thousand people all last night too.
On a side note, one of my XBL friends speaks to Chris Butcher a fair bit, and they (the friend, not Butcher) sent the following message:
"H3 Beta Status Update (after talking to Chris Butcher): The team are aware that there are problems with Matchmaking and are working on solving the problem right now."
so, expect another patch soon?*
*Now this raises an interesting question... M$ have a minimum two-week leadtime for stuff being deployed via Live, right? So how come Bungie were able to deploy that hotfix the other day? Naughty M$, very naughty

But surely the lead time would only apply to 'finished content'..?

Surely you can't use that logic in an environment like XBL? I believe (could be wrong) that M$ apply this policy to stop code being released that could adversely affect XBL - a beta programme is surely more at risk of doign this than a completed game?
Personally I think M$ are just bending the rules here because a) it's Bungie and b) it's Halo 3 - in which case they are very, very naughty!!!

We did exactly the same, except we turned into four at around 2 and played till 3. My points hardly went up at all when we were doing team training, even though I was battering the likes of konspiracy. :'(

I think the policy stands, but with regard to M$ knowing it's beta, they'd have a walled environment, within their walled environment, specifically for the purpose.. Tunnel the traffic through the Live network, but the programme itself would live in it's own closed segment.. If that makes sense?

Makes perfect sense - I just think it's wrong. Look at the impact on XBL in general last night when everyone was playing / downloading the beta - it crawled along and was crashing my Xbox!!

Apparently that was attributed to the uber banning of the firmware fiddled 360's..

Just poor timing.. :/

Fair enough - but why would banning Johnny Naughty's Xbox mean I get impacted? I hate modders even more now!!!!!
