Just to let you lot know, the BETA is now available through Crackdown. Slap your disc in, update, download and play :D

Seems download hella fast aswell, 52% in 10 mins :D

Haha, unlucky, Im stealing all the bandwidth :D now at 58%

Oh and it seems you have to stay on the download screen to actually download it. Going out of it will stop the download :/

w00t w00t finished downloading while I was typing, I swear to god the last 20% took 1 min :O

Oh and...
We realize this has been a pain for many and an inconvenience at the very least. Given the circumstances, we've decided to extend the duration of the Halo 3 Beta from June 6th to June 10th at 11:59 PM PDT. So, you lost almost a full day of play today but to make up for it we're tacking on four more days (and a weekend at that).

Yeah you can Jay - luckily. But I'm more annoyed about the lag, my connection struggles enough and I thought that the H3 servers had improved, but now it's back to the same way it was with Halo 2. Hopefully should be getting better internet soon but I'm not fiddling to try and improve stuff to what it was like before I got this pc.

There are no servers... there never have been servers... how can then improve your connection? It's the logic behind the netcode / macthmaking which is wrong.

I presume you've tried looking for matchmaking with the "Good Connection" filter set to on?

Don't forget, the Xboxen have to build up a hosting record.

There are literally thousands of people playing Halo 3 for the first time. . . you just have to wait for the good hosts to be recognized and things should start to improve.

(Oh, and let's not forget the obligatory "IT'S A BETA!!!" ;-D)
