I just need to know how well this thing works! Does it have a good signal, will it slow me down much? And does it make lag even worse?
I only ask, because its a bit pricey, and i dont wanna waste my money on it.

well i have gone wireless with my pc, and i cant see a difference in connection, or lag. but if you can have wired, why change. why spend 80quid just to go wireless? i think the wireless option is there for people who have a phone cable trailing down the stairs, so unlees you realy need to go wireless i think its best to stay wired.
and thats my two cents.

My 360 is in my living room downstairs, but id like it in my bed room. I got a new pc for xmas, and thats got wireless internet, and its in my bedroom, i love the fact that i can use a pc when ever i want without having to share with the family. The 360 is mine, i paid for it, but because its downstairs, i have to share with my bro and sis (if they wanan watch tv, i cant play 360) So thats basically why i wanna go wireless.
I just wanna know if anyone has had any problems with the wireless 360
Not heard of any problems, or at least nothing significant. Just a case of making sure you get a good signal quality so you might not be able to stick the 360 into a TV cabinet.

I tried for about a year to get a decent wireless network up and running in my house. Ive tried router methods and ad-hoc methods. The router option was too complicated and always failed, and the ad-hoc was easy to set up but was very slow and lagged in every game.
If you could I'd say use wires. Maybe take one outside to get it upstairs. But if you're good at this stuff then give it a go, it might work for you.

Depends quite largely on distance and what the signal is passing through, certain materials and construction methods really hamper network signals.
Fellis there are other adapters out there that work (Lynksys game adapter for example) but just make sure you know how to create a wireless network off by heart first, because even then it might not work.

Yea I actually have a linksys game adapter and its fine for me. I have one of these:

I've never really had a problem with lag over my network, just my internet providers. But now that i'm on Be broadband it's great. It's not even a hassle to set it up, stick it in the back of your 360, switch it to cross over cable, hit the big search button and you're up and running. It's really easy and cheap now adays. I wouldn't buy the official one, waste of money.

Cool thanks guys :D
I think i have the whole wireless network thing figured out pretty well. Me router is in my living room, directly at the bottom of my stairs, and my wireless pc is in my room, directly at the top of the stairs, and thats were my 360 is gonna go. There are not many obstacles blocking the signal. My comp says its at 60% and transfers data at 54mps, which i figured seems just about right.
Zyber thanks for pointing that out, because the 360 wireless adapter, is too much to pay at

Remember Fellis, there is nothing more stable than cable. However, having a wireless network is always nice and I will be picking up the 360 Wireless Adaptor as soon as I can afford it.

I actually didn't mean for that to rhyme. Maybe I said there is nothing more reliable than cable.

Lol i'm only joking Kennedy :p, but you were right anyway cable is the best way to connect for reliability just it look soo horrible having a big wire going from my upstairs xbox to my downstairs modem.

I use Internet Connection Sharing at the moment, but it's annoying having to turn on the PC whenever I want to play Xbox.
I'll be getting a wireless adapter when I eventually get a 360.

I started off by doing that back in 2005. I never enjoyed using it but it always meant I could use the hat.
