I normally play Attack and Defend, in my view it's the best one keeping them back at the Heli-pad is the best bit.

I hate playing Calypso when the attacking team decides to stay at the heli pad, does my head in, and can be grounds for booting in my rooms (i'll warn in the following lobby ahead of a second round), although that said we don't play A&D much, usually Sharpshooter or Survival.

attack and defend with infinite respawns on is a forgone conclusion attacking team always wins its shocking they put 15 minute rounds on as well thats why i hate some people.

How does the rankingpoints work? Only played a few games n I'm "specialist" already...so I take it player games count towards the rank you get rather than just ranked games?

All games count towards it, Player/Ranked matches. Some achievements can only be obtained in ranked matches though.

The points are awarded depending on win/loss and length of game. So a win 20 minute Team Sharpshooter will get you more points then a 5 minute game.

You can also obtain points from doing terrorist hunt. Again, changing low/medium/high enemy density and normal/realistic difficulty get you more less/more points.

It is taking a lot longer to rank up now. I now need 27000 points for the next level.

The standard Team Sharpshooter games I play (20 mins, even teams) give on average 1200 points, but I've been playing a lot of Attack/Defend lately and there just aren't that many points there.

For example playing bomb last night only gave around 100 points a match.

I am a rank of Major. It takes a long time to get each bar but with the amount of times i win. i am sure i shall rank up sooner.


Cat as for points. I only play Team survival Which gives 100 points a game but play alot to get the rank up sharpish.

I doubt it, the games not really that hard to get good at. I was good when I first played it. The game's easy, get over it. But when FX play the game, they're a different level.. their teamwork is incredible. But I would like to see how you guys do anyway, good luck. :)

when you become an officer you need loads i think i need something like 13,000 points for each bar to rank up.

It gets ridiculous on higher levels, you need 140000 points to just get the last level.

That's almost double of what I've got now....

Why would you do that, it takes the fun out of the game. Its like on Halo 2 where people cheat to get to level 50. Why? Just because your level 50 doesnt mean youre better than anyone else. Level counts for nothing on most games.

Its different in bow though, people don't particularly do it to get an elite rank ,as so many people have it, but for the unlockables you get,

You can only see it at the end of each game as far as I'm aware.

Some people I know play quite a bit of Terrorist Hunt. Realistic, high enemy count and a small map like LVU Campus can get you 600 points in about 5 mins, provided you don't die. :p

I don't tend to play much Team Survival, more Team Sharpshooter and long matches of that bring a lot of points. 20 mins, balanced teams is around 1500 for the winning team.

Afraid not. You can see how many points, you need but not your overall points. If you go into Service Record. tells you there how close to filling up your bar you are.

Quitting doesn't affect it. It all depends on the teams/numbers when the game started.

Nope, if the other team quits during the game then you get less points for the teams being unbalanced.

Yeah i would prefer it if they patched these glitches up first and patch the Elite glitch after that.
I still wont glitch up to Elite as, for me it takes some of the fun out of the game. I don't think less of anyone who does the glitch though tbh.

Nah, took me to much hard work to get up to major,(thats when i glitched from) to go and lose everything but if you find proof that you keep your unlockables i'd do it.

@ godzstorm - yeah even though I very rarely get "mission failed" it seems to be taking forever to rank up. I expect it to take a good few weeks of hardcore playing to get Colonel...n then may be a month after that for Elite. I was actually lookin forward to some decent camo unlocks but they were all pants :(
