Which Vegas teams will be going to XL?

If XL decides to include Rainbow Six Vegas, which teams are looking to participate?

I'm sure NmE are going to be represented by me, Southside, Snipa, and Jakeus Marleyus.

@ Bonzo - I'm sure there will be plenty of decent free agents (including myself) lookin for a team for XL. You will have plenty of time to get yourself organised...dont forget there will definitely be a RB6 Sharpshooter FFA at XL! :cool:

I've been doing my best to create interest from the RB6 community n a few randoms I've met online in RB6 have started to hear about XL. As an RB6 player, we all need to spread the word amongst the teams if we want more than 3 or 4 teams to take part in this...so if you're online n want RB6 to be successful at XL, then speak to ppl about it n get them to come on here as I will provide you with the RB6 events YOU want if you can help me out :cool:

5k prize for RB6?! :eek: There may be a total of total 5k cash given out, but definitely not for one event! :D

XL isnt an annual event btw...we just happen to have only done one so far, but it would be fair to say the years prize fund will be in excess of 5k anyways ;)

well to be honest with you i saw top prize was like ?175 per player in halo and i didnt think that was much but meh its all for the fun i guess.
if the prize is even better that will be GREAT and will get ALOT of attention.

Yeah the value of prizes is simple maths tbh and is basically a result of costs vs income n what we can afford to give out as prizes. The prizes will hopefully be higher at the next event...bear in mind we gave out ?2250 in cash last time n approx ?3000 in material prizes, but obviously we cant promise ?300 to first place if theres only a few teams taking part as it has to be proportional to income generated unless each individual event receives sponsorship.

yh the only thing i think XL are doing wrong is that you are doing to many events for a small lan.
if you kept to 2-3 games for a few lan events then pushed up to maybe more games then XL could XL [you get it?]

Halo2 (FFA n 4v4)
Gears of War (4v4)
Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (groups plus knockout)


In addition to this we will be adding Rainbow 6 Vegas (Sharpshooter FFA n 4v4).

At the last XL we also featured free to enter tournaments on Call of Duty 3, FEAR and Gears of War, and had other titles such as PGR3 and Splinter Cell available on freeplay during the weekend.

As with the last event we expect 300 gamers to be in attendance and the schedule will be fine to cater for these events (if anything has to drop then unfortunately it would be RB6 as the demand is uncertain at this point in time).

TBH I think what we'll do is include the RB6 comps in the prebooking form n make a decision as to whether its an official tournament or free-to-enter comp depending on how many ppl sign up for it. :cool:

I think me woot and sublime (all halo players with little rb6 experience) are gonna be play. Also kon, a great idea to get the word out on this would be to go over to gamebattles.com, the euro ladders, and On each team in the ladder there is the email address of the captain. If you did an email/forum post to everyone of these clans it would ensure that they all would DEFINATLEY know about it. As gamebattles is MLG im not sure you can post avertisments on their forums, but the way i suggested would definatley let all the competitive rainbow players in europe know about it. Just a thought

yeah so Kon, i had some time free yesterday and i emailed the top 25 RB6:V Sharpshooter and the top 25 RB6:V attack and defend teams(from gamebattles) yesterday evening, telling them about the vent and such and linking them here, hopefully will spread the word.

I won't be attending, i was really good at this game and then i didn't play for around 3-4 weeks (only going on to play in the MB360 sharpshooter tournament), really find this game boring now and tbh really can't be bothered with it. After playing the Halo 3 Beta i'll think i'll move elsewhere.

XL3 Will be a definate if i don't go to XL2, i don't have a income atm and well going to XL2 would wipe my bank balance. Think i'll just wait for XL3 *If it happens* ;) and hope that Halo 3 will be there - which it proberly will.

Well now that the release date has been announced as 26th September...it looks like Halo3 will definitely be featured at the next XL "when it happens" ;)

We've gone past the 200 mark on prebookings but only have approx 30-40 RB6 players registered so far. I would like to make it clear that 100% of the registration fees will go into the prize fund but it is directly proportionate to how many players/teams enter (ie more players = more prize money, and vice versa).

If you know any RB6 players or teams that have not prebooked or simply dont know about XL then please spread the word asap. Cheers :cool:
