Viva Pinata is a great game, but even better when you actually know what you're doing.

Best place to look for info about pinatas, plants and things is the online guide Pinataisland (http://pinataisland.info/). There is pretty much anything you want to know on there and it's an easy to use resource site.

Does anyone know any other tips or tricks? Easy way to grow plants or make money?

Or do you need any help?

Are there any pinatas anyone needs or wants? Does someone have many they want to get rid of?

And has anyone got a mine yet? Does it ever produce any money?

Best money making method I know of is to make a new garden, bash hell out of it so its got good soil and then buy 10 Ivy seeds, plant them, sit back and sell off the green heads every time the plant dies, get 100 for each head and the plant usually leaves 3 or 4 seeds and they replant themselves quite quickly.

Hover over a pinata and press B to sell them. You attract the mousemallow with a turnip.

That's what I was like with my first garden, I just had way too much going on. I started a new garden and adopted a new strategy, it's still hectic but easier to navigate now.

I found it gets a lot easier after level 15/16. There is a lot less going on and I also sold some things I didn't need any more, like the whirlm house and had enough space to get a milking shed, etc.

Best way I found to make money is chillies btw. You can buy the seeds for 23 coins, use red fertiliser on them 3 times after planting (it's about 20 coins each time, but if they are planted close enough you can use it on 4-6 at a time) and they grow almost instantly. The final chillies sell for 400 coins each. Unfertilised ones only sell for 100. She tells you as well that you can't buy more than 10 from her at a time. Just press Y, buy them and plant more.

Always stay on the lookout for a sale in Costolots store. Items have up to 30% off.

I was just concentrating on 1 species, getting all 3 variants for them, getting the Master Romancer award for the species and doing any evolves for it if there was any. The first time I played the game I had about 15 different species running around my garden eating each other, fighting each other and eating all my plants and stuff. There was just too much going on, basically.

To progress with the game, I only go for the achievements.

Easiest money making schemes i've found are the Taffly / Reddhott variant cos its an instant 2100 coins and Bullrushes, the seed costs around 70 ish coins, use the mixed fertilizer from Ivor bargain or the Cocoadile tears and you can sell them for 1120 coins each. The oak tree is a good earner too when your able to get it. Anyone else need any hints, just giz a shout. I'm about level 62 (i think) at the moment, and just knocking around on it now, waiting for the 50 hours played acheivement. :D
And yes i am a gamescore whore Gaskin before you say anything! :p

Just a quick note, if your struggling to get the master romancer award for any species, ive noticed that buying them also counts, i dont know if you can just buy seven of them to get the award, but i bought a barkbark from paper pets when i was waiting for the sixth egg to hatch and i got the award!

New garden, create a small clear patch about 45' squared and dig as many small holes as possible (plants grow faster in holes), buy Orchid seeds (about level 17/18 I think) and plant them in batches of three. Visit Ivor Bargain (the beggar cum trader ((That looks so ****ed up!))) and use the mixed fertiliser 3 times on each plant. Repeat this process until there is no more room in your garden for items.

The bonus growth of the flowers should net you 4 flower heads but don't sell the plant for 1,800 break the plants down in pairs (tap it with your spade until everything has fallen off) and sell the individual parts for around 2,600. You can even sell the dying plant before it disappears (you can do this with any plant).

With a full garden you should take in about 30,000. Easy money.

also i know 2 elvoles you can get for the achievment if you gt a torch and make a taffly fly over it you get a reddhot and if you make a sparrowmint eat a buttercup seed i think it is? then it will turn into a candanry

Any pinata will do, just buy it the most expensive accessories from paper pets, and send it to parties which also adds value. As soon as its worth over 10000 coins you'll get the achievement. ;)
By the way, ask Corkin, i sent him a Chewnicorn worth over 11000 in a crate the other day in a crate, only for him to get the achievement and trade the game in the next day for world champ snooker! :eek: :mad:

So o finally got the game and started playing for a couple of hours and im upto level 12 i think,

then all of a sudden, pratically every god damn pinata start getting ill , no long after each other, how hard is it to find which one is sick, lol so they ended up getting smashed by disatorous. or there were fights every 2 seconds

I dnt have much in my garden, few apple \hazel trees, black berry bush \ daisys etc.

the pinatas i have and had(but died) 6 Whirlms(4 Died) , 1 Preztail(almost Died) , 2 Squazil(died) , 2 lickatoads , 3 sparrowmints(1 died) 2 snail things(both Died) , 2 duckthings (both Died) , 2 Syrupment (both died). 2 mousethings(both Sick and Died), and a spider thing and 2 antt -hings both died, my garden started of well. and it kinda looking empty,


why do they keep getting sick, and sometime the doc wont heal them - vet bill is costing me a fortune,

Haha, I'm sorry, but your post really made me laugh....

Anyway, depending on which level you are there will be a lot going on. Personally I found it better to just have a limited amount of pinatas in the garden to concentrate on them.

You'll have an unlimited amount of whirlms, they'll always come back.

Check your garden if there are any deadly plants, mushrooms, etc. Also, sour pinatas leave sour sweets behind, have a look for those.

If they are sick you'll have the message come up in the bottom right. Highlight it, then press X (I think) to view it and it shows you your ill pinata.

best way to make money is the bird of parisidise plant buy ten at a time sprinkle them 3 times with orange fertilizer and sell each one for 1440 pounds.
you ll soon have plenty of choc coins.

The sour of tower discourages sour pinatas from enering the garden. You want it to show the face.

well ive wised up with my second garden lol, made a whilm house breed the little buggers and fenced the little blighters in mmmwhahahaha.

1 last question if you fit a gate to a fenced area, can you open and closed the gate?

Yes, you can by highlighting the gate and pressing A.

However, helpers, Seedos and other people will open the gates as well and leave it open which can be a bit annoying.
