Anyone? A decent Virus protecting system? One that'll remove trojan's etc. I'm 100% sure I have a virus on my pc and because of it my PC restarts every 30 mins. I do not want AVG or NOD32, both are **** programs which do not work. Please help asap.

AVG works perfect for me. Why does it not for you?

Because it's **** and doesn't do anything. The virus on my pc is too clever for it.

Try this http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Do the online scan, trust me, it works.

I had a virus that did that, was it disguised as a program you downloaded?
Mine was called 'WinFixer', nasty little thing that was.

I used avast on it, and got rid of about 3 trojans. But it still continued to restart every time I used it, I think it was due to age.

So I've bought a new PC, It's lush! Vista > XP.

AVG is great problem is with so many viruses no scanner can keep that up to date.

Just try every scanner on the net, except Norton.

So that's why you need good heuristics...

....Enter NOD32.

I've got absolutely no problem with AVG. It is the only virus scanner I use nand I have no virus, even though I use my PC a lot, it's constantly connected to the net and I download quite a bit.

Well it kind of does, as chances are your general usage got you the virus so the chance of getting it again is good so he should know about all the extra measures he can take however, Vista is a bit better on that side of things, just stop downloading dodgey files and visiting 'certain' sites :p
