I need a Wii!

So the mrs is actually serious about buying a Wii so I've been on a mission phoning round this morning to find one...but theres no stock anywhere and its all preorders only! :(

TBH I dont know much about the Wii as it quite simply doesnt interest me...and I've heard a lot of ppl who bought one have got rid of them already. For those of you who have one...is it any good and is it worth buying? What games would you recommend?

Obviously if you know anywhere that has them in stock then let me know asap :cool:

Yeah you can preorder them from 1001 places...but I need to buy one now (as in right now).

Spoke to numerous outlets today n basically Nintendo have some serious manufacturing problems and cant produce enough to cope with the demand. This probably rates as being even worse than the 360 fiasco tbh.

You need an extra wiimote and zelda, for about ?240 to get the most out of your wii.

That's to play wii sports 2 player and get the Wii's best solo game.

I'm pretty sure I've seen them being sold in Gamestation and places around here at the moment. Although that's not much use to you unless you want to drive a long way.

As for games, Zelda is amazing, Wii Sports is good fun, Warioware is good fun, and Wii Play is worth it as it comes with a controller.

rubbish - i know of at least 4 people who have managed to buy Wii's in the last couple of weeks. the trick is to phone your favorite retailer every morning and say "Have you get any Wii's in stock?"

As for games, I'd say get...

Wii Play (Because it's a free game with an extra controller essentially if you order online)
Rayman: Raving Rabbids
Warioware: Smooth Moves
Zelda Twilight Princess.

Its worth getting but at the moment theres not that many good games out at the moment, but theres some interesting ones coming out soon. Ive got Rayman and tbh i got bored after a bout an hour:D Tiger woods is good and the graphics on red steel let the game down a bit, Zelda is addictive though of course.

My advice is dont bother getting one yet. Zelda's good (but nothing you havent seen before) but the other games (Sports, Play and Wario) I bored of after a week. I would wait at least 6 months until some more decent games come out.

I should have learnt my lesson from the Wii and waited 6 months for a PS3 but theres something irresistable about buying a console on launch day. All reason and logic goes out the window!

I think that would be Elebits, Bonzo, and it's out now. Well, in the US it is, I'm not sure about in the UK.

And I've heard Super Paper Mario is a great game too. Really can't wait to get it.
