Nah L is dead as a dodo I reckon, I think it means reincarnation of Light as a god of his new world imo.

Watari got pwned for sure, and you see Rem writing down someone's name and then L drops dead.

UNLESS of course that Rem got hacked off with Light and did a private deal with L to stage their deaths so they could get the damned book off light. I mean, Rem killing herself to save Misa doesn't make perfect sense because now Light is free to kill Misa and there will be no one to pwn him.

Perhaps you're right poosniff. Something fishy is going on.

Given my educated opinion, I'd have to say poosniff may well be right. L will be back, with a vengeance. I know how the manga and movies turn out, and all 3 forms of death note differ a hell of a lot, so although you can speculate, nothing is for sure.

It was obvious that he'll die, but meh.... Didn't want L to die. He has to be back that's for sure. There are still 12 [?] planned episodes, they'd be rubbish without any sign of L.
