Only about 2 missions in, I figured being as the online is so broken I could try sorting out my HomeHub to port forward properly.

Which ended in no internet for the night lol :D

I don't like it too much at the moment.

It needs patching as well for gameplay issues the AI on your own side is still stupid as hell.

Like, I set up my Juggernauts to bombard somewhere using sniper as spotters, then I check and my juggernauts are still mincing about doing nothing etc. And of course rather than form a queue and wait for 2 seconds to get through a gap you tell a mass of troops [and it is alwaysa mas of troops since squad based units came into it] to go from A to B and half of them break off and walk all over somewhere inhospitable to get there etc...

Storyline dosent matter online play is what i am mastering, already learning the ropes of what needs building first and what base defences are needed if any, i am used to the GDI and Scrin now, still working on NOD. Going to buy a headset for this too as the text is barely legible.

completed both GDI and NOD, on the scrin atm, theres more than 35 single player missions, as theres 36 nod and gdi combined. GDI is a bit meh on the story but NOD is just ACE !!! I mean its KANE ! NOD kind of ends on a cliffhanger and then you get taken into the scrin campagine. Some missions are very tough, theres one GDI and one NOD they decided to make ****ing solid, the rest are just too easy.

A tip for multi, watch the bonus disc. it provides you with some decent tactics that you might not have thought of. The juggernauts tactic is gonna be ****ing anoying tho.

This will be rubbish on a pad its far too fast paced now, they have to release a keyboard and mouse or this will just be annoying.

PS1 released a mouse for Red Alert, so i dont see why 360 shouldn't.

I found ?25 of WHSmith vouchers under me bed, so im gonna get C&C 3 for like ?4 :D

you all think we should set up a clan for this?

edit: theres another patch out

kurosaki7

Yep already got the patch, but it seems it is still down as i am getting connection failed, i will only join a clan with players that can hold themselves against others. So i will probably have to get in a few games with you first.

I have decided i dont like nod and am about equal with GDI and Scrin.

you dont like NOD ? are you mad, get a few avatars and some of those hover things and they kick ass. but theres different tactics that suit different people. the scrin i think are way too powerfull. get a tripod and a few desolaters healing it, and OMG.

kurosaki7

Exactly different people accustomed to different tactics, it was the same with generals i coudlnt play as the gla too well either and for me nod are a reflection of that.

I like NOD at the moment, spamming out soldiers is an easy thing for me ot do, the buggies and bikes are half ok at what they do and if in doubt the scorpion tanks do a good enough job as well.
Stealth bombers hurt a lot and the tiberium upgrades come in useful as well, the NOD special powers come in extremely handy when combined in a 2v2 role, such as the catalyst missile, clone army and radar jamming etc.

Whos up for some games at around 7pm tonight? (make sure you all the ports forwarded if you intend to)

Azure you improved now then? Got used to the tech upgrades you need?

@corpseman, ive seen plenty of people spamming basic tanks but its easily countered with infantry now, if they choose to do that, as soon as i got about 5 units of rockets soldiers his tanks were on the backfoot.

I am still trying to figure out the best build order though and when to push with what units to guard the first outpost i build, ive cracked protection from the air by playing against AI but i need some better ground strategies. Its also critical to work together when pushing forward so you can keep your refinerys safe, have to work on that tonight too.

You talk about the scrin and nod but have you had 5 elite mammoths tanks yet?

They are one hell of a destructive force holding their own against both air and ground units. Managed to wipe out the equivalent of three bases with them and a few other units for support.

But yeah I am good to go at 7pm

Looks like its us versus the cpu again then, to be fair we need to practice a bit more though.

I'm beating stuff with GDI now, they seem easier to work with than the other two.

Awsome i just completed it, and what a disapointment. that has to be the worse ending ever, just so they could line up a sequal, I ****ING HATE EA !
