Ok i'm thinking of getting one after my GCSE's are finished as it's my birthday then as well.

Worth it?
Pro evo 6 and Oblivion are the two games I might get for it but I havn't been following the 360 so I'm not really sure what else there is.

Also, is the price actually going to drop?

Well, you might want to look at all the consoles available first, and see what type of games you like.

If you are going to get Oblivion, get it for the 360, because there is downloadable content, all those PS3 owners will get the 'knights of the nine' but they will miss out on the the 'Shivering isles' because there is no downloadable content for the PS3 version. Same with virtua tennis, you can play it on xbox live, but not on the playstation network

Get Oblivion, i didnt sleep for a week playing this game. It's amazing. only fault is loading some areas. bar from that its the best hdtv image around. Gears is next etc.

What about prices? Isn't it going to drop a bit? Surely if they lowered the price it migh attract more people especially now the ps3 is out?

There aren't going to be any price drops for a while, I don't think. As to the Elite that will be coming out in about 6 months-ish, but will be considerably more expensive.

Buying a 360 is worth it, as for games I don't know what you're looking for.

If you like any kind of RPG/Adventure game Oblivion is a must. I've put in about 170 hours so far and I've still got a lot left. Especially with the expansions and add ons. You should be able to find Oblivion cheaply for around 15 quid preowned now.

Generally if you look around long enough you can find some pretty good deals for 360's. Also check out places like Ebuyer, Argos, Woolworths and I saw a pretty good deal in John Lewis a few weeks back.

If you can wait then i reckon that they will have a price drop aimed for the fall of this year. Price drop + Halo3 will = winning the Xmas buying war
