Right I'm trying to make a Booking System for where I work. I have a datagrid showing which rooms are being used on which dates. I have a button which when i press i want to sort the rooms in ascending order by date. I have worked out how to change the command type and record source of the data control but the datagrid doesn't show the changes. If that makes sense to anyone can you help please :)

what programs you using? ive just been doing alot of work on access with some vb, may be easier to create a relational database to do the booking system, then use tools on access to export to a website?

Visual Basic? Me and DayC did something very similar for our coursework (completed a week ago).

Hmm i dont really know how to sort it via a field within a record though, **** :(

Did you write it from scratch in vb or are you using something like access?

I'm using access to store everything then making my front end in vb just to get more marks :D

just use queries etc

and just use form design, its easier, and then use subforms etc if you need them

Visual Basics is the biggest load of ****, i've been doing it for the past couple of weeks and still don't have a ****ing clue :D
