At QS, yes mat after hearing the 360 version of C+C was going to be gimped my hands were tied, and they don't mind it one bit :D

im still not sure if im getting this for the pc or xbox. after playing the demo, im leaning towards the pc, just because of the UI. i cant see how it would be any good as an xbox game.

If your PC could only just run Red Alert then im gathering the above is basically telling you, 'no'.

It couldn't only just run Red Alert. Doesn't say anything about a graphics card, this was my problem for most games.

Mazzy how about this, you cannot play rts properly on a pad, its just not a done thing, to have the option and go for the 360 is like saying 'im a dumbass'.

Well, for some games I just prefer the mouse and keyboard controls as opposed to a pad. Keyboard and mouse not available on the Xbox but the pads are available for the PC, I suppose thats as good a reason as any?

Well i managed to play the origanal cnc on the saturn and red alert on the ps1. altho after playing the demo, it would be alot more complecated.

I played Red Alert on PS1 and thought it was great, but it was a very simple game (control wise).

But apart from that, there's no comparison really, PC against console for RTS games.

You lose hotkeys, and responsiveness, also the console will be gimped for kiddies and it has MP capped at 2v2 [on 360].

I can only imagine playing a game like CnC on a pad to be an exasperating experience at best.

I played the demo again today, but i put the graphical settings on low. It was so much faster! I just thought that the game was slower paced than the others, it turns out my system couldnt handle it.

Now i am looking forward to this game 10x more.

Does anyone have any idea why they switched the left and right click business? I cant really see any reason why, and it's quite annoying at first.

there probably an option to switch them, there normaly is anyway.

Nah it's not just switched over, they've made it more even across either side. For example, now you select a unit with left click, and tell it to move with right. Then you unselect it with left. I can see the logic, but what was wrong with the old version?

And when you select a special super weapon type attack, you use left click to tell it where to fire/go.

im not a big online player of cnc, i prefer lan, its more fun. also im doing the single player first.

completed GDI in under 6 hours gametime. 2 missions failded, bloody engineers dieing. very good tho, not the best. some very easy ways to kill the enemy. Im going to play thru it again tho, to be good tho :).

Did any of you guys get a game with 2 discs? If so, what is the packaging like? Because mine is just the standard casing as far as i can tell but the foriegn woman put 2 discs in it. I wanna know if i should only have 1 disc and they gave me a freebie, or should the 2nd disc be different, with those bonus maps and ****. Both discs i have are exactly the same.

Cos i have the receipt and everything so i can take it and rage against the WHSmith machine tomorrow if nessacary.

The bonus maps are on the installation disc already, just plug it in and go, what is on the second disck you ask? **** knows, I never bother with that crap.
