Im about to get WOW after being disapointed with role playing games for the 360, does anyone on Matchbox play this?
Im pretty suprised there hasn't been a thread already created about this, if there has been i apologise - or if you want to keep this forum free of WOW i will understand :D.

I havent got the game yet :). Ive borrowed the official game stratergy guide from my friend who's addicted to it i might add :D ive already decided what im going to be though, A Human Paladin if that makes any sense :p. He says i'll get addicted to it, i want to prove him wrong.:cool:

It's great, bit boring when you reach level 70, and I cba to level my alt Shaman up.

I'm on PvE server: Anachronos, transferred for free from Doomhammer (laggy **** server).

Wish I rolled on a PvP server tbh. But I have an awesome guild and friends on Anachronos.

Btw lol, just read the part about Human Paladin, don't roll one! I'm a 70 Paladin, they are shite in The Burning Crusade expansion, we get nerfed alot, and Blizzard don't really care much for the class, if you want a proper class, roll a Draenai Shaman (Providing you get The Burning Crusade).

I played this for about half a month and got bored very easily and I don't mind games like this at all I just didn't like world of warcraft mainly because of the type of people on it they'll add you pretend to be your friend then remove you after 3 days, well thats what it was like for me anyway apparantly I didn't play regularly enough:confused:

Well i eventually got this the other day *no thanks to play.com for the snail paced delivery*, created an account etc and signed in, played for god knows how long (you people know what WoW's like, you lose track of time easily :p) then all of a sudden *BLACK SCREEN!*, i first thought it was my monitor as the power light switched off so i unplug and plug back in the cables *still nothing*, i then try to get the desktop back by doing CTL+ATL+DEL still nothing so i reach around to the back of my PC and turn it off.
I reboot, login, start up WoW again, load up my character and enter the realm - 5 mins later *BLACK SCREEN!* so i repeat the process i did before - turn off PC etc. I then try again.... same problem.
At this point im pretty pissed, i load up the EU WoW site and search the technical forums for people who have posted the same problem, there are hundreds. Apparently WoW has a technical problem with almost all ATI Radeon series graphics cards (I have 2 ATI Radeon 9800XL's :mad:). Some people have managed to get their WoW working with them but negelected to mention how they did it *makes me more mad*.

So i ask, has anyone had a problem with WoW like this before?

I know the solution would be to buy a new graphics card, it's not like i don't have the money or anything, i just see it completely pointless getting rid of 2 graphics cards just to play WoW.

Please help the cravings have started again!! :(

Well ive fixed the crashing problem by changing some of the in-game video settings and by running it in window view. Been running it for over 2 hours so far and without a crash *touch wood*:).
If anyone plays it feel free to add me.

Also have a problm myself with WoW atm.. Extreme High ping.. Tried forwarding ports, turning firewall off, nothing.. doesn't go down below 400ms :(

I'm on 8mb Service and it connects at random interval between 4.8 to 7.1mb/s
I was a abit pissed as my ISP emailed be early March that the "22mb and 8mb have now been lowered in price" meaning that my 8mb will cost ?19.99 instead of ?24.99...So I wake up yesterday morning, *turns PC on* "You have 1 new email" - 'You have been charged ?24.99' I'm like WTF!? Emailed em stating they best ****ing had get ?5.01 back in my account. Still awaiting an email from them, they take the piss for getting back, and you don't want to know what ringing them up is like... :mad:

Nah doubt it's realm, Anachronos is a newish realm with a Low population, moved there for free from Doomhammer which was the laggiest, crappiest, shittiest server ever! But then again it is te holidays, nubcakes will be home for 1-2 weeks lagging the place out.

I bought an account but I played it for a weekend and haven't been on it since. That was about 2 months ago so I doubt I've got much longer left, think I still got a bit of time left from the free month they give you. They say it's free but you have to pay time onto your account before you get it.

I usually have around 50ms of ping when im playing, but before it rocketed to 219ms :eek:
Doing a low level quest atm where i have to find large candles for some geezer in GoldShire, havent got the slightest idea of where to go - read the stratergy guide and thought i had to go down Fargodeep mines (south of Goldshire) but everytime i go down there i get raped :(. Asked a bunch of people before if they knew where i could get them from and the conversation quickly turned to Jesus juice..... kids these days :rolleyes:

I was a Draenor when I played it at my cousins, so I don't know if I'll stay as one. But the main server I'll be going on is the CROMAGUS. These patches take ages, and I still have to install burning crusade yet.

Oh well, it might have something to do with you being on a trial account. I know they have some restrictions on them. You can't amass upto more than 2 gold and you can't trade with other players, i think thats two of the restrictions.

I used to play US servers, but I got the EU version last weekend.

I'm on Hellfire (level 20 Dranei Paladin) and Arathor (level 10 Blood Elf Warlock)

I'm willing to come over to Draenor(my paladn), it costs ?15 but I have no guild or anything on this server.
