transferring songs from ipod to pc hardrive

i want to transfer songs from my ipod to my hardrive. i tried to drag and drop but it won't drop. i tried copying and paste and it will copy but won't paste???

You need to do it via iTunes i think

yeah im using itunes my songs are on my ipod but want them on my pc

Transfer them using iTunes, I don't think you can just copy n paste/drag n drop - iTunes does it for you or something? I wouldn't know I don't have one, just hazzarding a guess. :P

Don't think iTunes allows it.

iPod2PC is a good app, nice and reliable and does the job.

More importantly, I need to transfer songs from my iPod to my computer with my iPod being the only hard copy of the songs that I have, due to my old h/d failing, but I know that if I simply plug my iPod into the PC it'll wipe the memory. Sooooo, anyone know of any programs etc to help?

iPod2PC, also when you plug your iPod and it asks to update the library click no, go to preferences and turn off the auto update.
