XL needs you!

Despite all the recent rumours, the hard work behind the scenes has been ongoing for several months and I am pleased to confirm that everything is finally in place for XL2007 currently scheduled to take place on 28-29th April at the NEC Toute Suite...and it promises to be even better than before! :D

As always, MatchBox360 listens to the community and all your feedback has been taken into account with most of (if not all) the issues from the last XL being addressed with improvements in console layout, catering, parking, and scheduling.

In addition to the 42 x Halo2 consoles, I am pleased to confirm the next MatchBox360 XL will feature 32 x Xbox 360 consoles all running with HDTVs...with tournaments on Gears of War, Rainbow 6 Vegas, and PES6!

As I'm sure you are all aware, unfortunately my business partner (Tugsy) has recently stepped down from MatchBox360 and XL. I believe Ryan has his own personal reasons for making this decision, and myself and MatchBox360 would like to thank Ryan for all his hard and dedication for the last 3 years and wish him all the very best in the future.

MatchBox360 XL events remain to be highly customer focused, and we value and fully appreciate the support of the Halo2 and H3F community. In order for MatchBox360 XL to continue to provide competitive Halo2 tournaments for the community, we need your support and input...

As is stands, it would be hard to provide full FFA and 4v4 tournaments for Halo2, and as such we require additional staff that would be committed to providing the community with competitive Halo2 events...if this is not possible, then the only other option would be to provide freeplay throughout the weekend on all 42 Xbox consoles (ie 24 hrs of freeplay).

As everything was confirmed and in place for the event to take place on these dates it was a hard decision to make. MatchBox360 XL aims to provide the best possible LAN events for the gaming community and it was decided that we would rather delay the event and make it perfect rather than rushing preparations. I can assure you that we are working hard behind the scenes to ensure the next XL meets and exceeds everyones expectations.

Full details will be announced as soon as new dates have been confirmed.

No worries KONSPIRACY, i Just dont like having to talk to parents, once is enough, twice is a nightmare...lol You know that exams start soon for alot of folks in the next month or so. Most of my teams have gcse, or alevels for uni's an stuff. Just want to make sure everyone can get there.

I have cancelled an event with Microsoft Belgium because of that.

Well, you still said it in advance. Maybe I can get more teams with until the new date. Who knows? ;)

KONSPIRACY, I would just like to ask you to keep in mind the participants, who like me, come from outside UK (I imagine that I will not be the only one). I need more time for preparation. If you could let us know about the definitive dates at about 2 months in advance, it would be perfect. :cool: It is just a suggestion though.

Yeah I can guarantee the dates will be announced well in advance of the next XL so you have more than enough time to get prepared. Apologies for any inconvenience the proposed April dates may have caused.

^^ Yep. I can get better deals with the Eurostar if I get my tickets at about 5 weeks in advance and there is also hotel etc.

Besides, there might other iPMS/iH2O from other countries who may also show up. Even though there is nothing grounded about it, if we know all the details in advance we might be able to get more at XL.
