A new Title Update for Rainbow Six Vegas X360 has been deployed. It can be automatically downloaded when launching the game. Find below the list of modifications and fixes:

Bug Fixes:

> Optimized the network replication of custom faces. You should see everyone?s custom face much faster in an online match.
> Fixed a bug where you can get stuck on a ladder in Border Town.
> Grenades no longer go through walls.
> Fixed the sound loop on weapons.
> Observers no longer cause a Team Unbalance penalty on experience points.
> Fixed a crash related to throwing an incendiary grenade and then quickly using your snake cam before it exploded.
> Leaderboards are now correctly updating results from ranked matches.
> Fixed a bug where you could lose your weapon.
> Killing terrorists with incendiary grenades now works correctly in Terrorist Hunt.
> C4 explosives are now properly seen by clients when placed on moveable objects.
> Players are now vulnerable to grenades when using mounted weapons.
> Fixed bugs related to the Survivor and Special Operations achievements.
> Host can no longer kick players once the match has started. Players can only be kicked in the lobby, or automatically kicked by excessive team-killing.

Gameplay Tweaks:

The weapons have been rebalanced based on the feedback you?ve given us. Thank you for your patience and continued support in making Rainbow Six Vegas the great multiplayer game that it is. Without further delay, here are the changes we?ve brought to the weapons:

Sub Machine Guns
o SMGs are now less lethal at long ranges. The damage they do at long range has been reduced in order to bring them more in line with how this type of gun should behave. SMGs remain very lethal at short to medium range.

Assault Rifles
o Assault Rifles are now where we wanted them to be. They?re more maneuverable than before and you can more accurately take aim at your target. The Assault Rifles excel at medium to long range when fired in short controlled bursts.

Light Machine Guns
o The amount of recoil when firing light machine guns has been significantly reduced, therefore making them much more accurate than before. This weapon excels when fired from a stationary position. It?s not meant to be a very manuverable weapon.

Shotguns
o Damage at long range has been reduced for shotguns. However, they?re still extremely lethal at short range.

Sniper Rifles
o Sniper Rifles have gotten the attention they deserve. Sniper Rifles are more accurate and benefit from an increase in damage. The key to being successful with a sniper rifle is to remain stationary when aiming at your target.

Gadgets
Frag Grenade: The explosive radius of the fragmentation grenade has been slightly reduced.
GPS Device: The scanning radius of the GPS has been slightly reduced, along with the number of uses it has.

Didn't play much last night after the patch so can't tell you if the weapon changes have done much but if they have really done what they claim I'll be a very happy man (can see myself revising the Ignition review score for this month :P)

My thoughts [without having played the game since the update]:

Hallelujah! I've had that so much, especially if my connection was 100% [pretty much all th etime!]

Thank you! No more having to bloody restart silly TH games because we've just run around all of Dam to not find a single silly terrorist.

Don't know if that is so good. Sometimes tehre are randomers that join just when you start the game and sometimes you just want to get rid of someone.

Nope, happened less than 5 minutes ago to me.

Are you kidding me? Didn't seem to be any different to me

Bullshit, more like slightly improved.


Sub Machine Guns

MP7A1 is still as lethal as it was before.

So all in all unless last nights was a different patch nothing has changed except for a couple of glitches

I haven't played it but it seems to be a growing impression, maybe we will be getting a Patch to fix the Patch?

I sure hope so because the patch didn't change a thing, just hope they make the Sub machine guns alot less powerful.

MP7A1 is still as lethal as it was before.
There's nothing better than poping someones head with a sub machine gun.
Well i think all the submachine guns are all to lethal *cough MP5 N-oob gun cough* when i first started playing vegas i used the Famas, i was pretty well skilled with it *without tooting my own horn* but as everyone uses the Sub Machine guns it's really difficult to play with a assault rifle as the submachine guns are so deadly at close and long range, so after a few weeks i put down my much loved Famas and picked up the MP9 & MP7A1 - been using them ever since. One day i wish they would fix the difference between the Assault Rifle and Sub Machine guns and maybe i'll be able to pick the Famas back up.

There has never been a very realistic Rainbow Six, ever.

Yes there has: Rainbow Six: Raven Shield.

Hell RS 63 was more realistic than Vegas, Vegas has been toned to appeal to the Halo Kiddies rather than keeping the more hardcore side of gamers happy. The rechargable health, the one button nades, do I need to go on?

Its **** now, i dunno how anyone couldn't notice it. Its fricking impossible to kill someone across the map even on kill house with the m7a1 or even the mp5. Last night i was shooting at someone i had to run away find a AR then kill them.

Change your gun then...the point is your not meant to be able to kill someone from across the map with an SMG in the first place! Obviously SMGs are good at what they are meant to be good at...close quarters combat. Either adjust your gameplay or change your weapon. Simple.

Ubisoft are the stupid ones for not realising this 5 moths ago " SMGs are good at what they are meant to be good at...close quarters combat."

Never mind the hundreds of thousands who said jack **** against the weapon change. All the people who complain in the first place only do so because they are getting beat by a gun they know is a tad to powerful, and are reluctant to use it therefore use some crap AR and wonder why they are doing so bad. Then they complain, play the game for an extra few weeks before picking up some other game which will in turn produce the same result as we have seen on RB.

TBH the effects are so marginal its not even worth debating the changes to weapons. I still succesfully killed a number of ppl across streets n kill houise with the MP7 earlier (I wasnt even host).

Well after using the MP7A1 last night and not being able to kill much so i switched to the G3KA4 and the different is quite a bit IMO. I can actually take on people using the MP7A1 at close range with the G3KA4 when before i didn't stand a chance. Using the G3KA4 i went 21 for 3 when before i couldn't get more than 15 kills in a 15 minute game with an AS. Im so happy they fixed the Subs and wil be using the G3KA4 more often.

Well actually i have seen a little difference after playing last night...the smg's are slightly, only slightly less powerful and so i decided to use a famas and found out how good it is compared to the likes of the mp7a1 or ump45 etc.

Yeah I was on the receiving end of your famas a few times last night! :D I swear you guys were shooting through walls/doors or the host was terrible. I remember that I died once when I could see you were behind the closed double doors n you took my face off whilst running down the catwalk...:confused:

Anyways, the famas is noticeably more accurate than the AK over distance.

That explains it then. Since the patch the lag/freeze problems seem to be more frequent IMO...played with some annoying little kid as host earlier n he was genuinely braggin how good he was cos no one else could kill him! lmao :D

I get that every other week that I constantly lag out of games [even if it's on the same host as always], crash and so on. I still haven't figured out what the reason is....
