Hey neyo, haven't spoken to you in ages. Since the last Conference thread I think...

Anyways, Oxford seem to be just getting over their awful run, just in time for our visit on Saturday. How bloody typical:mad:

You going to be going to the match? Do you go to many matches?

I should be going, been a bit ill this week, but football's a bit too important to miss.

We're in great form at the moment, and I would be quite confident, except our top scorer is suspended. His form recently has been incredible, so your bloody lucky:mad:

Anyways, hoping for a good game Saturday, and hopefully we can keep 11, or at least 10 men on the pitch this time:p

Hey bud, not been around in a bit myself, but happy to report a 2-0 win for the Ox today. You're right mate, we've made steady progress lately after AWFUL form, just in time for you lot. I didn't go unfortunately, i've not been for a while now, but i'm hoping to go up for the Kidderminster game, I think on a Tuesday night (13th?!!).

Were we lucky, or were you lot crap? Did you go
?

We were very crap.

We really missed our top-scorer, as we had noone to hold the ball up when we tried to break. We were also missing our more attacking central midfielder, which meant the front three had no support coming from midfield, and with all three of our front three being small and not particularly strong, we lost the ball as soon as we went forward. We were also missing our England international!

Oxford were very good however, much much better than when we played earlier in the season. They kept the ball very well, which we failed to do. You must have had about 10 corners in the first half, all of which were dangerous, as we lacked strength and height all over the pitch. We nearly made it to half time, although we didn't really deserve to - our keeper was excellent as usual, and you hit the post, but in stoppage time another corner and a free header and it was 1-0.

Second half we were slightly better, but again Oxford were dominant. We failed to create any chances at all, and you could have had 4 or 5 more, with us again being saved by our keeper and the woodwork.

One other moan was about the ref. Yet again he was awful. We would have still lost if he had been competent, but it may have been slightly closer.

Can't really complain though, beaten by the much better side on the day, but as it was only our second loss in 19, I'm not worried yet. It was our worst performance for a while, but we have so many games to make up for it in. We have to play twice a week (Saturday and mid-week) every week from now until the last game of the season, so whatever happens, it's going to be exciting!!
