C & C 3 demo

I used EA link and had it in an hour i highly reccomend installing it.

Used the EA link and played this for about 30mins but even in that small time it was such a step for me than Tiberian Sun or Red Alert 2, I can't compare it to Generals though as I've never played it. The graphics are so much better and the whole speed of play to me seems so much faster than the previous versions i've played.

Great first impressions, going back to Red Alert 2 style is a big plus, its basically the generals engine with nod and gdi with better gameplay than ra2, EA have taken some things on board for a change and may have done one hell of a job!

Oh and dont complain about the game running slow looking bad if you dont have a great PC as recent RTS games especially supreme commander have been pretty demanding, just a warning really.

unable to get this now due to my d/l speeds, only getting 12kb/sec on the EA servers, if anyone finds a better place to get it from, please share!

Last time i checked my download from EA was going at like 12Kbps so they can go fock themselves, the little fudgepackers.

Thats because the EA servers are rubbish, it is EA link you have to download and use, the diret server download is 20kbps max which is why i stopped it and switched. As for your cube handling it quickshot, i would say be prepared to play at a low resolution and settings on low.

On another note my new PC is finally built and should be with me soon :)

As for playing C & C 3 competitively i used ot on RA2 and was one of the best, not bragging there i simply was :) So think i might look into doing so again after the dissapointment in Generals.

im getting that, but im downloading supreme commander, and it wieghs in at 6 GIG !!! im sure i started it a week ago.

Played thsi the other day. Threy have made a few big changes, but since they have made so many C&C titles they're ahrd pushed to get new features in. Anyqway, i didnt really liek them at first but now i think they're pretty good. Instead of one infantry unit you get like, 5 or 2 or whatever is pretty wierd, but it makes the battlle feilds more epic. Why did they **** with the mosue buttons though? Was there any need? I keep pressing left click instead of right, which is stupid. And they're not consistant with it somtimes left click is cancel, and sometimes right click is, argh.

Oh and i like how they made it more realistic, no longer can 5 riflemen make short work of a tank, in C&C 3 you CANT destroy a tank with riflemen, haha, thats cool. Cos in the others i could just like, set 5 of the grunts to take out a tank easy. I like how they've made it mroe realistic like that.

They've also kept the tradition of
bigger/powerful-er the unit = deeper the voice when you select the unit haha

WOW !

DL this last night, and WOW ! i love this, cant wait. super weapons are a little too powerful, and i cant seem to even see a blanked out button to remove them from the skirmish WTF! i love the nod way of building base defense. and i like the new way to build multiple buildings, ive seen a few sneaky tactics that ill be useing to kill my mates off. im not sure about the pad control of this tho. i do love my mouse and it will be the first cnc i have played with a pad since the saturn !
