I'm sure quite a few of you know about this site already. It basically takes stats of any 360 games you've played [whilst being connected to Xbox Live] and writes it up in a blog style format.
So if you don't play for a day or so, you get something like:
I prefer to play games... but if Fear the CAT needs a short break I can respect that... don't get lazy though... I'll be waiting right here!
If you don't play for sever days in a row, it's a little different:
Yesterday, Fear the CAT decided to spend her time elsewhere... machines don't feel lonely... really we don't...
In addition, it shows various other stats, for example your most played games, you increase/decrease in Achievement points and any good/bad feedback you may have received.

Do you have a 360Voice blog?

After removing my last gamertag from there servers, I never decided to sign back up again but as for what Phatmuther says I think it still stands and the fact it's all public is a bit concerning.
Granted you have to have Public Settings on your Xbox 360 in the first place but the fact it's open to all is disappointing.

When i signed up for it im sure it just said something like "Adding Bonzo UK to database" then once it refeshed my empty blog came up, that was ages ago so they might have changed it - ive noticed they've got more stats on the blog now.

the fact it's all public is a bit concerning.
How on earth is that concerning?
It does pretty much what Xbox.com does but in a comedic manner, I dont see how anything bad could happen.

I think he's referring to the fact that he doesn't want anyone to stalk him, especially as he does it to other people. :p
To be fair though, if your privacy settings are set to not show your online status, 360Voice wouldn't capture anything.
And yes, it's nothing new, I've been signed up for is since June I think, but they've added a many new features.

The fact it is all gathered in one place and it produces stats on you automatically, see people could do it via Xbox.com in theory but not as easy as it could be done via 360Voice.com and it can be done without the person confirming it.

And I still cant see how that is bad. All the stuff from there is, like you said, easily found on xbox.com. So I really cant see any harm.

So what's the difference. If someone wanted to know what you're playing, they could just sit there and look at their FL all the time?
And who cares how many days you've played a game in a row or how many more points you've got and even if someone did, why would it bother you? It's not like they know something about you....

It doesn't bother me personally, I suppose the aspect that you can sign people up to the service without their knowledge and that say circumvents the options you have enabled for instance ban someone of your friends list and block communications.
Granted this stuff can be found via Xbox.com but not to the ease that it's produced on 360Voice.com. Granted it all comes down to personal opinion and none of it is "personal" information although is it acceptable to publish what is essentially Marketing Information to the whole world??? - And thats without your prior knowledge!

But that is the same with pretty much every other site, no? How do we know that 'TheBigMan 87' is really your Gamertag and not somoene elses? Pretty much any Gamertag related service that you sign up for is without prior confirmation [apart from Mgc.net and Major Nelson]. Maybe the whole system needs to be reconsidered.
Still, there is always the 'Appear Offline' option or changing your privacy options to 'Friends only'....

There is that option but it's set to "Everyone" by Default. Therefore you could be signed up to a series of sites without your prior knowledge and they for instance could use those Stats to Spam your Xbox Live Messaging Account (I already got one).
