Sky Channels on NTL/Virgin

We just wanted to keep you updated, given what NTL/Virgin have been saying today. First things first, as far as we

I think it's a good move on Virgin's part, granted there may be a small drop but if they can secure future episodes of shows via Digital Cable only then they could easily compete.

I personally would prefer not to have Sky but I don't have Cable available in my Area :'(

If Virgin do lose the Sky Channels I'll probably just get freeview instead since Sky one's pretty much the only thing I have on subscription that I wouldn't have on free view.

Shame although I can get faster speeds from ADSL (Min 12Mb), the only benefit to me would be the V+ Set TopBox (TV) otherwise cable would be pointless in this house.

I always like to side with the underdog (why else would I buy a PS3?), but I do love Sky. However, seeing these two statements has made me reconsider who I think to be 'the evil one'. I'm still sticking with Sky though. Branson can suck my lollipop.

I understand that I'm bumping a thread that's about a month old here, but bear with me because anyone who hasn't changed isp might be happy to see this. well as peolpe know sky did remove there channels from virgin cable, well if you phone up and complain about paying the same montly fee for what is essentially a freeview box virgin may give you all 330 non premium channels for free for a year as they have done for me.

the channels i got include: most of mtv (kerrang, mtv2, mtv dance, mtv base,vh1, kiss & others) a lot of the discoverly channels, the uktv network, paramount, fx, trouble, bravo ect.

just a shame were moving house and getting sky in 6-8 weeks really =/ (we've got an offer and were going through all the paperwork & surveys and junk at the moment)
