Is it possible to find out how many free texts you have left for the month. My girlfriend can text a 'balance' to a certain number and i tells her but she has a genie sim whereas mine is a contract. Anybody know?

Try phoning the number which you phone to get your balance on a pay as you go, i think its 453...

453 is for your balance on Orange PAYG

For o2 you can either go onto their site if you have an account or if you go into "Sim Services" in the menu on your phone should be one that will lead you to a screen which will give you your remaining text count.

mine hasnt got a sim services option i dont think, i have got a samsung sgh-e780

Check the connectivity section, it will have a sim services option somewhere, not knowing Samsung phones I'm not sure where exactly it'll be, check your manual.
