Well this tournament was mostly to test the ground on how many Pro evo players we have interested, and obviously it has been proven that we have alot. Do not think that this will be the last tournament we do, in fact after this event has finished dont stray too far away from Matchbox because we have more in the pipeline.
I'm just throwing out an idea, here. Feel free to catch or drop it at your leisure.
Maybe, you could introduce seedings based on how well each player performs, like the Halo 2 tournaments, and start, a little belatedly, with the current PES6 Champions League stats. Although it's too late to have an affect, the seedings could, in future competitions, deter the deserters from not playing their remaining matches if they know that how they perform in each match can affect their seedings, and obviously they wouldn't want to be thrown into the 'death' group or some similar difficult group in the next tournament, as a result of their poor seeding in the last - or chucked into a bottom division league. Some players may not care for seedings, but, at least, it's something that they can play for other than pride; whereas, currently, there's little reason to play if you can't qualify et cetera.
The seedings would also benefit the players who won the majority of their group games or performed well: accounting the victories, instead of disposing them.
Most of all, it would provide a somewhat accurate picture of the most consistent players over several tournaments, leagues et cetera.
It would be relatively easy to set it up: based on points for wins and draws, and extra points for wins or draws in the knock-out round of competitions. But that's just a simplistic system hammered out by a hammered player at five in the morning.
