The XL web site:
Not bad pre XL, but XLTV, XL results, updates?! 5/10
The location:
Smack in the 'heart of England' and moreover, not so far from me. 9/10
The venue:
Not the most aromatic of places, but it looked fresh and fairly decent sized. 7/10
The prices:
I didn't pay, so no comment. :P
The equipment: The only major problem in my view was the height of the TV's, a little too low. Those 360 pods look shiny in the dark don't they?! 8/10
The events we ran:
I didn't want to play Tekken or Pro Evo 5 anyhow. 9/10.
The staff: Much better on the 2nd day, and did well with everything considered. I expect better next event, but that would be obvious. No major complaints, everyone tried to do their best. 7/10
The atmosphere:
Good, people seemed upbeat and games like TCS vs. TSG were a pleasure to watch.
The prizes on offer:
I didn't get any... (Not even a Gears faceplate! :P)
Value for money:
For me? No. Cost me a fair bit to travel, and more on Red Bull than a Saturday night out, but for the average joe? I would say so...
The XL web site:
Nice flash design but home page seems to be down alot. XL updates are almost none existant so far and now the website design is slightly out of place with the new forums. The new forums are excellent however and far better than the old ones. 5/10
The location:
Right in the middle of England but took me 3 hours on the train to get there. 8/10
The venue:
Nice looking, perfectly air conditioned, well placed and not overly crowded. 9/10
The prices:
Very expensive BUT alot was provided and alot was given back. 7/10
The equipment:
Almost perfect, maybe another station of consoles next time? 8/10
The events we ran:
Halo 2 4v4 was a bit dodgy in the losers bracket finding out that we only played 1 game instead of 3, FFA was spot on (please don't put me with Lethal next time :)) 8/10
The staff:
Apart from Jay everyone else just wanted to see my wrist band or start a game as fast as possible, also staff that were walking around didn't seem to be checking on the normal xbox consoles they just drifted really, for example I had a problem with a CTF game type and we had no one watching our station or anywhere near our station so I had to send Scotland Ownz U to drag a member of staff over. A person per station next time please. 6/10
The atmosphere:
Friendly, fun and everyone joined in, brilliant! 10/10
The prizes on offer:
Lots of prizes that were given away to people selected by random, just the way it should be. And a decent sum of moneyto be earned aswell. 9/10
Value for money:
TSG got their money's worth, lower teams did not but it all depends on your teams skill level. 8/10

The XL web site: Nice design and ideas, but has been too long to wait for the content. 5/10
The location: Perfect, very easy to get to. 10/10
The venue: Found it hard to navigate but that was my problem lol, once there twas very good. 8/10
The prices: Fair prices for entry, but the competition prices were a bit excessive. 6/10
The equipment: 360s kept breaking, but that wasnt your fault. Kinda annoying with the profile issue on halo2, but again nothing you could have done. 8/10
The events we ran: For me, excellent. For others, maybe not enough choice. 7/10
The staff: Very helpful, and was pretty cool to meet you all, so I give you lot 10/10 ;)
The atmosphere: Bit nervy when everyone was getting to know each other, but got very very good in time. 9/10
The prizes on offer: Very good, cash is always a gud'n, and all the extras were cool. 8/10
Value for money: For me, definatly. But i only entered one competition. For someone who entered lots of comps maybe not, as they were highly priced.
See you at XL07 guys

The XL web site: I don't see anything yet, but I have faith in the team's ability. n/a
The location: Birmingham, middle of england.. easy for me to get to. The NEC.. easy to get to. 10/10
The venue: Shaweet, although two extra rooms were stinky at times.. 9/10
The prices: I didn't pay any entry fee.. but the prices seemed fair if you were going to enter three, entering four was a bit too expensive for myself.. :p 8/10
The equipment: My only problem was that it was so chuffing hard to open the 360 pods 9/10
The events we ran: God damn awesome, although I'd like Pro Evo to get a better attendance next time! 10/10
The staff: Can't really rate myself, but I thought the other guys did a brilliant job especially for not being paid. Even the guys who organised the whole thing, not one penny in the bank for themselves. Xl Staff <3's you! lol 10/10
The atmosphere: When some of the Halo 2 matches were on it was brilliant, but I'd like to see a better atmosphere for other events such as Pro Evo and Gears of War. 7/10
The prizes on offer: Seemed pretty darn good to me, although I got nothing... :( 9/10
Value for money: 10/10

The XL web site: A bit slow to get of the ground and not always available 5/10
The location: For me it was cool but some of the clan had a bit further to travel 8/10
The venue: It was good although maybe have some frebreeze on standby 8/10
The prices: Entrance fee was sweet, I thought the 4v4 was a little pricey 9/10
The equipment: you guys did good to supply so much stuff. 10/10
The events we ran: Gow was great even if we got owned by Khtz. The FFa went well but the 2v2 was a farce, too many peeps playing freeplay when 2v2 teams were waiting to play/practice 7/10
The staff: They were good and helpfull apart from Saturday Night when the 2v2 just didn't get going.7/10
The atmosphere:Fantastic 10/10
The prizes on offer 10/10
Value for money: Great Weekend 10/10

The XL web site: good info
The location: good, nobody can complain. people came several 100 miles to come to XL
The venue: was great, parking was **** on the last day with the "good food show "going on , i hated walking about a mile to get to xl.
The prices: cant beat free
The equipment: excelent, 360 pods and the xbox's not much break downs
The events we ran: fantastic,
The staff: of corse we was fantastic also
The atmosphere: excelent, everyone behaved apart from the odd minor event.
The prizes on offer 10/10
Value for money:10/10

The XL web site: I like the new forums, but i would like to see some gameplays, and maybe the homepage updated with a review of the event or something (maybe team interviews?).
The location: Great (don't move to London!)
The venue: It was ok, i ended up having to walk to it from the furthest car park lol, but i think the room was a decent size and i love subway :D
The prices: I think it was the right price to enter the events, was it ffa, 2v2 and 4v4 all for 50 pounds, i think so, and i remember paying that for just 2v2 and ffa at TSG lmao
The equipment: good, the tvs wherent a problem (maybe a little higher) but i think the height of the tvs was good for when it was split screen, whoever was bottom screen would sit on the floor and it would be perfect.
The events we ran: i think you have already said you're dropping 2v2, so ffa and 4v4 are all thats needed halo-wise. I dont know much about other titles, but maybe a gow side tourny.
The staff: Friendly and attemptive, but game-wise wherent the best for enforcing the rules, stuff like having worng settings can be impfroved for next time, but half of them didnt know the proceedure for host choosing.
The atmosphere: good, lots of fun.
The prizes on offer: very good indeed.
Value for money: definatly
Great 1st tournament imo ;)
Great 1st tournament imo ;)
Agreed their's always going to be good and bad points in a first tournament but this one turned out brilliantly.
The XL web site: Not too bad, not too great either. 7 weeks since the event has finished, and you can still sign up for it (really needs updating). Gameplays should be available also.5/10
The location: Birmingham, good. 8/10
The venue: Prominent, transport links are good also. Starvation after 6pm wasn't much fun however.7/10
The prices: Reasons for it are fair enough, it was expensive though. For some, 2v2, 4v4, ffa, entrance, (controller hire also?) costs could be coming to

The XL web site: Tbh i hardly ever visited the website hopefully the new look one will have plenty of content and regulary updated. 4/10
The location: Couldn't be better really for the UK gamers. 10/10
The venue: Great first venue although the food facilties were a little limited. 7/10
The prices: I think the prices were fair although the cost of shops around the NEC were high. 8/10
The equipment: Great Setup overall but needs a few tweaks for the next event the tv height for example. 9/10
The events we ran: i was only interested in the halo really and all i cared about was ffa and 4v4 so i was happy. 10/10
The staff: Some very good staff members (Azure ftw) although a few were completely useless. 8/10
The atmosphere: The atmosphere was great really pumped up during the halo 4v4's and friendly throughout. 10/10
The prizes on offer The prizes were very good fopr a first event hopefully as XL grows so do the prizes :D 10/10
Value for money: Overall it was a great weekend and although cost a fair penny was definately worth it. 9/10
Looking forward too what XL has in store for XL 07 i know u guys won't disapoint. :)

The XL web site: Good, if updated regularly would be great! Gameplays? 6/10
The location: Was excellent for most English players! Event being far from Wales, Scotland and Ireland meant that some people had to leave event before it had finished! 7/10
The venue: Not so good for food or extras, shops were expensive. Good atmosphere though! 8/10
The prices: A tad bit expensive, not end of world though. Would like to see one off payments for all events. E.g. FFA + 4v4 + Entrance Fee =

The XL web site:
Great pre-event. Lots of specific information for travel/accomodation, etc etc. Although post event the site update has been slow and still no gameplay! ;)
The location:
Birmingham is nice and central, not too much hassle to get to. Only other realistic location is London to be honest.
The venue:
Venue was great for size. The Toute Suite was large and appealing, seemed very professional. Although the NEC was a far way from the F1 hotel, but that didn't matter at all.
The prices:
Maybe slightly overpriced, mainly due to prebooking and entering every event. FFA could have been a couple of quid cheaper and I think 2v2 could have been a bit cheaper. I had no objections to the 4v4 entrance fees though.
The equipment:
The equipment was great. Plenty of TVs and Xboxs and the 2 projector screens were great. Only thing that could have been improved on was TV arrangement (ie height, how they were positioned, etc)
The events we ran:
In all fairness, I'm going to be quite critical with the criticism here, and say that the H2 events were ran badly organisation wise. Obviously I know the time scaling affected it largely, but being the first event it was understandable. Having to wait so long to play was quite annoying though.
The staff:
Any staff I met and spoke to were cool. Could of done with more staff to stop multiple people coaching and keeping spectators back a bit from the teams playing. Also could do with some staff members who have more understanding of H2 team games / gametypes / rules, etc.
The atmosphere:
The atmospehere was great. At both the hotel and the event, meeting everyone and competing etc made it such a good weekend.
The prizes on offer:
Beside the cash prizes, I thought the small prize draws were great, and so was the player ot the tournament prize. Considering costs etc, prizes were good.
Value for money:
Was good considering. I think a lot of people wasted money on the hotel and things like alcohol. ;) Only thing that really hurt was paying about

The XL web site: Theres just something about it that doesn't make the forum much fun. Maybe something in a more H3FUKesque style for forums? The rest of the site looks good though...6/10
The location: Perfect 10/10
The venue: Great suite. Food was obviously a big problem though, especially when the scheduling went out the window and we had to find food at 3 am. It really was a great venue apart from that. If you want suggestions, maybe try and get a hotel with an attached hall. 8/10.
The prices: Reasonable I guess, thoug still quite expensive. No way in hell should 2v2 have been

Absolutely none taken, mate.
However, in my defence, I have never been to Scotland and I have never in my life seen Scottish money before. Infact I wasn't even aware that it was different.

The XL web site:9/10 Easy to use, constant topics being posted so always something to chat about and lots of friendly people to msg if there is something you need help with.
The location10/10: Even though i came all the way from scotland i found the locations to be brilliant because i only had to get 1 train which saved me changing over every few stations .
The venue:9/10 The venue was well picked i think decent size plenty of room to walk about or just stand still and watch the halo 2 4v4's
The prices: 10/10 Best value ive seen for a lan party
The equipment: 8/10 not really enough 360's to play during the 4v4 when you couldnt go on the xboxs'
The events we ran:9/10 i enjoyed them, there was something for everyone even little mini competitions on the 360's which i enjoyed participating in
The staff: 10/10 Great laugh and easy to chat with, some of them i even knew before i went so it was easier way to get to know them.
The atmosphere: 8/10 good atmosphere apart from the ocasional person moaning about something.
The prizes on offer: 10/10 free games,360 covers was all good for the raffels and the small 360 tournys.
Value for money: for me i found it to be not too bad i was on a tight budget but i managed to stick to it so 8/10
